First time eating at Charley’s Restaurant the other day. Had the chicken egg foo young and my friend had a cheeseburger sub. Food was grea. And you get alot of it. Going back for the wings next. Heard they are really good.

It took 2 hours for my food to be delivered. Im use to the big shrimp they use to have when I ordered sweet and sour shrimp. I guess they changed because these shrimp were a quarter of there old side,they were as small as they come, and had to heat my food up…IV never had to wait 2 hours for delivery and still have to pay full price .

What a shame Charley’s food went downhill so bad. I used to like this place for take out subs and chicken wings with rice. The last order I got I took a few bites out of and threw it in the garbage. It was just awful. The pork fried rice tasted very bad and so did the chicken. They’re trying to hide the bad taste of the chicken by extra breading and deep frying. No more Charley’s for me.

Any place that sells Chinese and cheesesteaks sounds too good to be true and sadly it was. I had multiple people rave about how amazing this place was and they were wrong! I will never waste my time or money eating here again! Their sesame “chicken” didn’t taste like any chicken I’ve ever had compared to dozens of other Chinese restaurants. The sauce tasted sour. I had 4 non picky eaters try it and no one could eat it. On top of that the chicken was slimy not fried. Terrible ♀️

I placed an order on Grubhub (which can’t be tracked because Charley’s uses their own drivers) and didn’t call to check until it was 40 minutes late (my wife told me to be patient). I spoke to who I can only assume was the unpleasant woman mentioned in several other reviews. I explained I had ordered an hour and a half before and not received my food. She said since it was Grubhub she had to look into it and would call me back in 2 minutes. Long story short, 20 minutes later after several phone calls and a contact with Grubhub customer support and a refund (and still no food nearly 2 hours after the food was ordered) the unpleasant woman was on my phone yelling about the cancelation and telling me the food was on the way and she had been too busy to call me about my food and I had to give the driver my debit card info (not gonna happen). I just hung up and when the driver finally showed up I sent him and the food back.

Contrary to the other reviews, I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been ordering from them a few times a month for years. I haven’t tried anything but their Chinese food so I can’t speak on the other half of their menu, but I really enjoy it. Their portions are large and the price is reasonable. We always order a few appetizers (bbq pork and teriyaki chicken are our faves) with our entrees (try the crispy chicken special) and enjoy it family style with leftovers the next day. Give them a try!
