Went to this little place that my husband has been to before and got lunch. He ordered the sampler appetizer and the fried egg burger. I ordered the cheeseburger w/fries and a cup of cheese sauce . The sampler was very good and consisted of fried pickles, chicken tenders, mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, poppers, and onion petals. I ordered my burger medium and it was juicy! Very good burgers. The fries are a little bit like a Rally’s fry except for the black pepper, but super crispy and good! The cheese sauce was yummy . Our server Kendell was awesome and took very good care of us! Very small and quaint little restaurant with amazing food. A must try!

We stopped to eat as we were traveling on 64. There are very few places to stop between Evansville and Mt Vernon and we found this place online. The 8 ounce sirloin was good. The chicken breast was also good and seasoned well. The restaurant wasn’t crowded. The server was very friendly and welcoming. She did a good job making sure we had what we needed. It’s worth a visit if your traveling and want to make a stop on your drive.

We happened to be in the area around lunch time and decided to try this place. My husband used to play in a band nearby and ate here several times. It was my first time. OMG! The Bourbon Chicken Sandwich was amazing. I only wish I had more room in my stomach to finish it. And the onion petals were very good. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

We had the bourbon burgers. They were good. I did not like the sauce as much as I thought I would. The meat was good and properly cooked. The fries were good but not great. The excellent service brought it up to a 5 star review. She appeared to be the only person in the front of the house. It was a slow day (12/30).

Found this place by accident. Pleasantly surprised. Very good food and service. Fair pricing too. Will be back.

Traveling down I-64 and Googled somewhere to eat and this seemed to be the only game in (several) town(s)…and it was excellent! If you’re not a local, expect to be looked at and whispered about, but in a curious -not bad- way. I get the feeling not many out-of-towners stop in. The steak was excellent and well-cooked at medium-rare, service was friendly, and prices reasonable. If I’m ever back this way I’ll make a point to stop back by!

Upside: Staff friendly and efficient. Good menu. Price reasonable. Looked like where the locals go. Place seemed clean. 2 dinners (smoked pork chops) drinks and appetizer was about $45.

Except for the “steamed” broccoli being overcooked, the food was very good. We split the smoked porkchops 2 ways and added 2 extra sides and had plenty to eat. Service was excellent. The facility was clean and well maintained, but nothing to write home about.

Chappy’s is a small restaurant and bar close to the river in downtown Grayville Illinois. I had the ribeye sandwich with onion rings and they were fantastic! A rather basic atmosphere but the food was really good. I came in the front door which required steps.

This place is a local hotspot, and worth the drive if you’re in the area. They have live bands, slots, and billiards to keep you entertained. They don’t have any draft beer, but they have a nice selection of bottled beer. Their ribeyes are their most touted item, and I can see why. Mine was perfectly cooked, and topped with what I would consider a salty Cajun blend of spices. Booming with flavor. The wait staff was excellent, and very personable.
