The staff, the environment and the food were incredible! John (the owner) helped us out and was amazing! We tried a little bit of everything since it was our first time and I can the coconut shrimp with the rice was my personal favorite. Side hack – ask for a little extra coconut sauce on the side

The food here is absolutely phenomenal! We went in and tried a lot of different things today: Crab dip – real crab! Shrimp ceviche tostada – so very fresh. Spicy garlic shrimp – topped with beautiful pico. Ribeye beef quesadilla – tender and juicy. Bacon wrapped shrimp – a little sweet with coconut rice. Shrimp taco – squeeze that lime on it, yum! Mozzarella sticks – comes with what I think is a honey mustard sauce that compliments them so well. Chocolate cake – really liked the shaved bits on top. Churro – warm and filled with a caramel that is divine. Everything was so delicious. I am really excited to go back and try more items from their menu. There aren’t too many impressive places in Norfolk, but I left The Pier a very happy girl.

Great place with great food. You can’t go wrong with the bacon wrapped coconut shrimp or the quesadillas. If you want spicy, they certainly have that too. Whether it’s the food or their hot sauces, they’ve got you covered. All of the food is just packed with flavor, and the service is great.

As first time customers, we were recommended to get the bacon wrapped shrimp and fish taco. We thought the steak taco sounded good to we added that too. Before we got our meal, we were curious about the Horchata. We always get excited to see horchatas on the menu but this time, it wasn’t a good experience. It had way too much cinnamon imo. But other than that, service was fast, food was amazing and everyone was friendly. Place was super clean and spacious too! Overall, would highly recommend for everyone!

Shrimp Taco and Shrimp Fajitas.
Flavor was good. Kinda spendy. Can honestly say, we will not be heartbroken if we don’t go back. Hate saying that, love supporting our restaurants.

Not typical Mexican (i like that too). Taco flight was good variety without being heavy. Churro was Amazing! I’ll be trying the coconut rice and bacon wrapped shrimp next time.
