The atmosphere in this place is calm and suitable for relaxing after a long day. The menu has enough variety to choose from without feeling complicated. The dishes were fresh and well prepared. The staff were polite and responsive. It’s a solid choice for casual dining.

Went to this LJS location last night to get dinner for the family as I was passing through town (we live in a small town a half hour away). Placed my order, waited in line for about 20 minutes after ordering and then received our order. I’m used to the wait as it is usually 15-20 minutes after you order on the few occasions we have ordered there. My complaint is that the chicken planks were dark brown, not golden, and all had a burned taste to them. Called and asked if there was a way to get a credit or anything for the next time we ordered as I was already home and was told there was nothing that could be done and that’s just how it was essentially. Kind of disappointing since the only other option for LJS is in Omaha. Hopefully someone sees this and they fix the customer service issue as well as the apparent quality control issue. I added a photo of the last 2 chicken planks that weren’t thrown out

Haven’t had LJS for quite some time, woke up wanting it. My family lives 45 minutes north of Columbus and we decided it sounded good. The reason I gave my four stars for the services. The service was good. Unfortunately, it was the people in line that had no clue to look at the menu board and kept asking questions. It’s right there in front of you. The atmosphere was okay. The place was pretty dirty. Didn’t look like the floor had been swept or mopped for quite some time. The condiment section was filthy and the tables were not wiped off. Now for the food the fries and hush puppies I couldn’t believe were great but the fish and chicken was brown and you could ring the grease out of it. I’m mad at myself for not taking it back. I just know I am not going back to that location. I’ll try the one in Sioux City or Omaha. Thank you!

First thing the place is dirty and run down. Attitudes of the cashier is bad. She called someone at the drive thru “an idiot”. I ordered two hot dogs which took forever to get. She said had to cook them. When they finally got around to it they microwaved them. They were terrible. I didn’t eat them. I will never eat here again.

We live in Norfolk n drive to Columbus just to go to LJS bf we call ahead to make sure they are open. No one ever answers the phone so we assume it’s closed. Don’t want to waste a 45 min drive just to find out if they r closed r not. Wish you guys would post on ur website if u are closed are not. At this point I feel like u should just close ur doors permanently and let something come in. Plus last few time went the service was horrible. The food was ok.

We wanted to go to LJS because we lost ours in Norfolk Nebraska. We finished with our business in Columbus Nebraska and call and told one of our significant others that we would bring them home LJS. We went to LJS at about 430pm and the door was locked. A sign said that due to being under staffed that they were closed. We walk over to the drive thru and stood there hoping someone might ask for our order. After awhile someone finally came on the intercom and said that she couldn’t take our order because of being understaffed, she was closed. That was the one thing that we were looking for was eating at LJS. We were very disappointed. After reading some of the other comments maybe we didn’t miss anything anyway. This place needs to completely close, clean it up and reopen with new management and new employees.

I havnt ate at ljs in a while and this will be the last time 60 dollars for 5 meals and the plates were empty! The medium size was like kid size and the chicken planks were not only smaller but thinner my kid ate each one in 2 bites!! My whole family is still hungry we are never coming back

Went to the Columbus location Saturday night at 7:50pm…I believe they close at 8pm. Well shout out to the lady working. She allowed us to order and add to our order at the window. She didn’t have to but she did! That’s offering excellent customer service! Also the food was hot & fresh!
