We went with a group of 13 for a friend’s birthday. The accommodated Us by pushing a few tables together. The service was quick, the drinks are strong, and the food was great! Always a good meal at the century house. I got the surf and turf New York strip with shrimp scampi on top, baked potato and squash. The steak was one of the best I’ve had in a bit. Melted in my mouth and cooked perfectly. If you can deal with the crowd, it’s one of the best meals you’ll get on the North shore, and the prime rib is phenomenal.

This is a large, yet cozy established neighborhood restaurant. We started our dinner with a few drinks – my friend had the martini, I had some sort of drink with pomegranate – delicious. Next course were the fresh oysters, a real treat. My friend enjoyed the stuffed scrod. I chose the fried seafood. It was way too much food. Next time I’ll get something not fried. Overall a delicious meal.

When my family travels to Boston, if we want to get back out of the city and headed back to NH this is always our stop for dinner. There is something for everyone. The boys got fried seafood last night, and the plates were piled high, with leftovers enough for dinner tonight. My mom got chicken marsala and said the sauce was divine. I had french onion soup and was so pleased at the amount of broth, I dislike when onion soup is just all onion and no delicious broth to sip with the generous amount of melted cheese on top. I also had the stuffed chicken and was very happy with it. All with fresh made rolls as well. The wait staff was fantastic! Never a bad meal.

Nice old restaurant. It is separated into two zones with different entrances. One is very loud with a bar, and the second is very quiet for breakfast and lunch. The staff is very friendly. The food was delicious. There is plenty of free parking outside. The restaurant has a ramp for wheelchairs, but they don’t have a kids menu.

I’ve been coming here since I was kid and always love the food and service, but I wanted to write a review to shout out our amazing server from last Saturday, Felipe!
The restaurant was crazy busy, but Felipe was always attentive, smiling, happy and always asking if we needed refills, or anything else. Felipe, if you are reading this, you should work in a 5 star expensive restaurant and make more $ ha!

I love the atmosphere and staff at Century House. The drinks are strong and the regulars fill the place which is amazing. I have only gotten one meal there and it was not my favorite and I would not order it again. The bean dip was good and it seems like a crime to not order it. The seafood alfredo was what I ordered and I would not recommend it. The seafood was coated almost and was very greasy. The sauce ended up splitting into oil while I was eating it. Typically that happens when it’s reheated and I suppose that’s the risk you take when you order an alfredo dish and take it home. The lobster pieces were very small and I don’t know that it’s fair that they claim it has shrimp, scallops and lobster when you get three pieces of lobster. (Picture here for size of lobster in the dish and the sauce turned oil in the background). Anyway, a seafood platter was ordered at the table as well and it was reported good. The portion was huge and the fries and onion rings were tasty. I will absolutely come back and try something different next time and recommend this restaurant to friends. Our waitress was very sweet as is all of the staff I have encountered.

Let me start by saying I’ve been coming here for 33+ years & this is one of my favorite restaurants in that area that being said I was extremely disappointed today. First we got the potato skins & mac & cheese bites now if you’ve never eaten here their skins come like strips of skin with some potatoes still in them w/a cup of cheese on the side with a lil bacon on top now because of my past experiences with the cheese not being hot & barely luke warm we asked to make sure cheese was hot well they nuked it to death that they broke the cheese it was all curdled & gross but whatever it started getting busy there so we just ate them plain. The mac & cheese bites were great. Now onto the dinner & let me say that I usually get the baked haddock & it’s always good but tonight I decided I would get the chicken cord on bleu w/delmonico potatoes & broccoli but what I got was chicken w/a lil gravy on it, delmonicos that looked all mushed together like an ice cream scooper put em on my plate & mixed veggies (which I didn’t order I asked for broccoli) so when they took my plate back which was all wet & gross from the mixed veggies they must’ve broke the outer layer of the chicken & to cover that mistake they decided to now give me back a plate now swimming in gravy with new delmonico’s also swimming in the gravy. I didn’t get a menu when we were seated cuz they only gave 2 so I looked online & went by that menu & nowhere online does it say it comes with gravy on it(GROSS). I have never seen any restaurant put gravy on that dish cuz it has swiss cheese & ham in it so who puts chicken gravy on a dish w/cheese & ham YUCK!!!! I didn’t eat 1 bite but I love the guy who was our waiter so I just took it to go. Threw it away as soon as I left & got fast food on the way home. So friggin disappointed. Read their ingredients folks because even though my menu didn’t say gravy I also got their chicken picatta once & it was loaded with mushrooms & I’m allergic & didn’t notice because again chicken piccata never comes w/mushrooms its usually w/capers in a lemon sauce. That was lesson learned but tonight just floored me because why would you make a perfectly crispy chicken crust & ruin it with gravy. Geez put it on the side. Ok I’m done ranting if you made it this far thanks for reading

Melanie took care of us and is absolutely wonderful. We got lemoncello martini. The drinks are so strong they don’t make doubles. lol. We understand why. The portion size is gigantic. We got the seafood pasta and it is delicious. I got the prime rib rare and wish I had more room to eat more. You want to eat here. And ask for Melanie.
