I like the Cozumel vibe here. Great Chili Verde, carnitas were delicious, melt in your mouth. Beans and bean dip are incredibly smooth and creamy. Burrito had a lot of peppers and pickled jalapeños, not everyone’s cup of tea so be aware and read the description if you’re picky. Got seated right away, sat a bit before the drink order but the place was busy on a Friday night. Service was better than average but not exceptional. The truth is, before this place, the location went through a bunch of different restaurants and this is the only one that has lasted, so it has to work harder than most.
Also for whatever reason, its a wide mix of ages and styles eating here; older folks, college bros, goth chicks, families. Definitely give it a shot, you’ll fit right in.

I’ve lived in Columbus for 7 years and still haven’t found a good Mexican restaurant. I’ve been to this place a number of times because it’s close to my house. The restaurant name changed so we thought it might be a bit different and checked it out but the food was the same as before.
The service is very friendly and the restaurant has a great vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating with a bar inside.
But the food isn’t great. I got a chicken super burrito and a vegetarian burrito. The vegetarian burrito was super oily and literally only had vegetables and a little bit or rice inside- nothing else, no beans no salsa so it was disappointing.

We dropped in here on a whim while in the area and I’m so glad we did . We are convinced that this is our new local favorite Mexican restaurant and it will be yours too if you try it out..
This little place in flavor Ville is full of huge portion sizes from the beers, which were tall Bud Light drafts, the size of a small keg to the plate of food as big as my head . Yeah. These guys do not scam. I’m giving you full size portions, but no their prices to reflect that.. 53 bucks.

Perfect Mexican food experience in every way! The beers are tall and cold, chips and salsa are great, dinners are hot, fresh, authentic, and delicious. Great, nice, friendly service. Very clean restaurant with a good friendly atmosphere and vibe. The sizzling-hot fajitas and dinners coming out of the kitchen every 5 minutes makes your mouth water!

Honestly this Mexican place is a hidden gem with great food. This bowl is phenomenal every time. The service is normally pretty good. They also have a pick up drive thru, which is nice!

This place previously was called El Iguana but now it’s El Molcajete.
We came in and the place was literally empty. I believe we were the only people in the dining room except for the waiter. There were clearly other people there earlier because the tables surrounding ours were still uncleared, just not sure how long those dishes have sat there… They may have been short staffed sadly.
I’d compare this place a bit to El Vaquero except more pricey. Menu options are very similar. My burrito was really tasty, but the rice & shrimp was okay. The drinks were good and strong though! I also tried ordering their Flan off the dessert menu, but the waiter laughed and told us they haven’t had Flan in 21 days. It’s even labeled as a Mexican classic on their online menu! You can’t be outta flan!
Very average place, I can’t say I’d be back but I do wish them the best of luck and hope more people try them out & hopefully they turn some problems around.

Absolutely delcious fajitas. My partner had two orders at the table and I took an extra to go. Drinks were decent and the service was quick. Definitely recommend!

Delicious!! We where planning on going to Texas Roadhouse, but the wait wait was over an hour… so we pulled into this cute place, and decided this, since we love Mexican food and it was yummy! We even hit happy hour! We where happy! Lol
