In addition, I really enjoyed the fried chicken wings with fish sauce and the pineapple coconut milk drink. The manager was very welcoming, and even though the restaurant was quite busy, the staff remained efficient. I absolutely loved the flavors of the food and the ambiance of the place.
During my first year studying abroad in London, this restaurant became such a wholesome part of my life. Whenever I felt homesick, one meal here would fix everything. The comfort, the flavours, the atmosphere it genuinely felt like a little piece of home.
My favourite dish is Bánh cuốn, and their Phở… OMG, it’s SO good. I even joked to my friends that it tastes better than back home in Vietnam (and that says a lot!).
I’ve brought friends from all different countries here and every single one of them loved it so much they begged me to take them back every week.
If you’re looking for real, authentic Vietnamese food in London, this is it.
Recommend booking as it gets busy.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or setting. It was difficult to get staff attention, check-ins were inconsistent, and the overall pace felt disorganised. The biggest issue was trying to get the bill — it took a long time and required multiple attempts, which is frustrating, especially at the end of a meal when you’re ready to leave.
The table layout is quite tight, with tables positioned close together. This makes the space feel crowded and noisy, and if you’re easily distracted or overstimulated (like I am with ADHD), it can be hard to focus on your own conversation and enjoy the experience fully.
Overall: great food, attractive venue, and a good atmosphere — but service efficiency and spacing between tables need improvement to match the rest of the offering.
The food itself is very tasty for the most part, the salted egg was a massive mess, but I also don’t know if if we were just unlucky here. Note that each dish here is very expensive and hard to justify that’s why like I said we come here rarely / on special occasions. I have scanned the other reviews and it looks like generally this is why it gets tracked down a bit. However, I would still recommend it for a first time just so you know what a full Vietnamese cuisine is like beyond Pho.
I personally enjoyed the king prawn curry and the claypot mekong catfish.
The flavours were rich and satisfying, with sauces that were already perfectly crafted… that I had to ask for extra rice. That’s how good they are!
Staff are friendly and accommodating 🙂
That’s how the food is as well; hearty unpretentious phõ, straightforward burst of flavour with their salt and pepper squid and a proper summer roll.
The phõ was such comfort I brought a 2nd friend back the very next day.
Definitely a good introduction to hearty Vietnamese cuisine that’s friendly and comforting.
Super nice and efficient staff.
This restaurant provides some very exclusive.
From steam rice rolls to Vietnamese sausage. Apparently Vietnamese sausage is something very exclusive in Vietnamese cuisine. Unfortunately the Vietnamese restaurants I had been in the UK do not provide Vietnamese sausages.
It didn’t take long to get our orders. Everything tasted great and authentic, with generous portions.
The restaurant and the toilet were clean.
It’s the best Vietnamese restaurants I have tried in the UK. Sorry because of the Google map system I can only give 5 stars maximum.
To make the rating more fair, I will deduct a star from the Cambridge Vietnamese restaurant.
Looking forward to the next visit already!
