Unexpected location nestled between junk car lots. Don’t let the surrounding aesthetics dissuade you from giving this place a try. Everyone inside was extremely friendly and excited to talk about the menu offerings and daily specials. Wide variety of options. I went with the quesabirria tacos. Crispy shells, tender meat, and deeply flavored consomme.

Fyi, this place was cash only when I visited. It’s a super authentic Mexican spot that’s more of a crispy taco/birria joint than a street taco joint. There was a nice guy cooking and running the show. The quesabirria was super cheesy, with tender beef, and decent flavors in taco. The consome had the better flavors and made for a very good pairing. The portion was quite satisfying. The hot sauce had a little burn but wasn’t overbearing. I’d be happy to come back and dive deeper into the menu. There’s indoor seating, but no AC, so I’d recommend takeout on a hot summer day.

What an amazing place! Misael cooks his food with love and careful attention. Authentic recipes with delicious flavors, that’s what you’ll get here! We tried the Flautas with shredded lamb, as well as the Quesobirria Tacos. They go down great with a Mexican Coke! And the portions are huge, so you won’t walk away hungry. Bring cash or pay via Venmo or Zelle. Catrina is a serious contender for our favorite Mexican restaurant in Ohio!

I love this place it serves 100% Delicious Authentic Mexican Food. The ambience is of Mexico restaurants. The food you order from the Americanize Mexican restaurant will look different here because it is how it’s serve in Mexico. I order the chicken enchiladas and my buddy had a beef taco dish with a broth to pour on them.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. my mind was blown by how absolutely delicious the food was. We had never been there and do not live in the area, it was a random pick from the Google list of Mexican restaurants near our hotel and we were are so glad we went there. honestly we were a little leary at first, older building and no air conditioning but OMG go there and eat!! you will not be sorry and you’ll never want to eat at some stupid chain Mexican place again! We got the enchiladas Verdes and taco dorados. Be sure to have cash, no credit cards.
