A group of us 4 went to this restaurant around 2 pm. I ordered their Prawn & Scallop Linguini. This dish was delicious. Even their garlic bread was exceptionally good! The only small complaint is that they could have added a bit more olive oil to my pasta. A friend ordered a Warm Seafood Medley Salad, with raspberry vinegrette. Her dish was beautifully plated! We were all in awe! The rest of us, simply had non alcoholic drinks. Our server was wonderful. All the seafood was super fresh. The restaurant was warm and we sat by the window, with a view of fishermen boats. This restaurant does not disappoint!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Catch Bar after being told that all the tables in the restaurant section were reserved. Honestly, I’m so glad we ended up in the bar!
I’ve been to Catch before, both in the restaurant and the bar area, and I’ve always had a great time with excellent food. My favorite dish has always been the garlic mushroom chicken — but after trying my partner’s halibut and prawn risotto this time, I’m not sure which one is my favorite anymore!
The highlight of the night was definitely our server, Bam, and another lovely staff member, Aida. They were both amazing. Bam even offered to take photos of us to make our Valentine’s celebration extra special — how sweet is that?
Catch has always been a five-star restaurant for me, which is why I’m surprised their overall rating is 4.1. It honestly doesn’t make sense to me!

We had an incredible anniversary dinner at Catch in Steveston. From the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. Our server, Justin, delivered 5-star service—attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly. We were seated at a beautiful table overlooking the harbour, with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that made the evening feel extra special.

The food was outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, the team surprised us with a thoughtful anniversary card waiting at our table, a gesture that truly set the tone for the night.

Thank you, Catch, for making our celebration unforgettable. We’ll be back!

We had an amazing experience at Catch Kitchen & Bar Restaurant in Richmond, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Thai. He provided truly phenomenal service from start to finish.
Thai was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. He made us feel welcome right away and took the time to explain the menu and offer great recommendations. He checked on us at just the right moments and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.
It’s rare to receive service that genuinely enhances the dining experience, but Thai absolutely did that. Because of him, our visit was even more enjoyable and memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back — and we hope to be served by Thai again!
Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot by the water with an amazing sunset view. Service was friendly and attentive. Loved my warm seafood salad — super fresh with a great vinaigrette. The fish and chips could have been crispier, but overall we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back.

First time visiting and couldn’t have had a better experience! The restaurant was not too busy when we went but there is plenty of seating, most of which oversees the harbour. We came to celebrate a birthday and they surprised us with a little dessert plate. Food, atmosphere, and service all amazing. Shoutout to our server Aida for being so kind, welcoming, and attentive 🙂

You come here fist and foremost for the amazing atmosphere and views. The food is great, nothing to complain about. The service was courteous, attentive and friendly. Perfect place to have delicious seafood and enjoy great fish and chips. Although it’s not a high, high end restaurant, it’s very good.

Finding seafood in Steveston is like finding bubble tea in Vancouver: It’s everywhere, but only a handful are actually producing quality over quantity.  No joke, you can’t walk down a sidewalk in Steveston without being bombarded by menus highlighting seafood chowders, crab and/or lobster dips, some salmon dish with mango salsa, and, of course, fish and chips.  Lest you forget, Steveston is a quaint little village with a quiet charm situated right on sparkling waters where fresh catches are a given.

Catch Kitchen + Bar is one of the many restaurants situated right along said waters, with a hefty menu starring a variety of friendly crustaceans and fish.  My family and I wanted to try most of the menu, so we ended up ordering a little bit of everything and sharing it.

If you’re after Michelin Star rated sustenance, this isn’t the place to go.  But if you’re looking for good, tasty seafood that you honestly couldn’t cook on your own even if you tried, Catch is a great place to try out.

Nothing was inherently horrible, but we have definitely had better in terms of their Baked Lobster Gratin and Crab & Spinach Artichoke Dip.  The salmon, chicken, pork, and fish dishes were all decent, with a special mention for how moist all the meat was (a sentiment remarked upon by everyone).  The pork was the best out of the bunch.

The standout, though, was absolutely their seafood pasta with dill, which incidentally was one of their special features.  I confess that I may be biased since I adore pasta.  However, everyone was actively pecking away at this particular dish over any other.

Catch definitely has a rustic vibe with interesting décor, balanced out by the unbeatable views.  Our server was sweet and attentive without being overbearing.  It was our first time trying this restaurant, and probably won’t be our last.

If you’re not certain which eatery to swim to, get caught in Catch’s net.

The food was absolutely atrocious and it ruined the occasion for my family.

One look at the ridiculously large piece of red pepper that’s barely cooked and all this rice with no sauce to go with it tells you everything you need to know about the standards this kitchen holds themselves to.

Piece of cod was “okay” but I expected that at these prices.

The moment the food started coming I knew I made a huge mistake coming here.

If you’re coming here PLEASE don’t bother with the food. There are plenty of better options around for that.

Not recommended, and will never visit again.

The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The food was acceptable overall, but the strawberry spinach salad really stood out — fresh and delicious! The staff were very kind and friendly, which made the experience better.
