Fantastic food at a place ran by amazing people! They make an effort to get to know every customer that walks in the door, and I was really impressed when I overheard the owner, Victor, telling a customer that if you’re ever looking for something that isn’t on the menu, give them some notice and they’ll make it for you. Their Cuban sandwich was phenomenal, and everything we had was so fresh. All of the meat was so tender, and I was impressed that the plantains weren’t super oily. Their desserts were awesome too!

The owner is Victor is awesome and was very accommodating. My cousin and I visited and had some take out very clean, very nice patio inside seating. It’s nice and airy. Hope they are going to be here forever. He gave us a sample plate It was amazing we tried like 4 different dishes! Delicious!!

My family and I were looking for some Spanish food and came upon this restaurant. I have to start off with their prices are definitely affordable. They have a big variety of Latin dishes. I enjoyed eating the yuca Pasteles they call it Puerto Rican tamales. I usually don’t eat yuca but this one was delicious. The Pasteles didn’t have no fat inside the meat which is always a plus, the seasoning was delicious. I always add extra salt to mine.
I also have to add they make the best Maduros which is sweet plantains, I have ordered them from Palma restaurant in Ansonia and they never make it as good as this place, actually I am from nyc and not even in nyc they make it this fresh I always get them burnt. If you do order from this place definitely order the empanadas the beef one with cheese was amazing, they made chicken ones as well they were both delicious. But I have to say when it comes to empanadas these are the best I ever had because they were flaky, kinda felt like I was eating a croissant. Also the Cuban sandwich was very good they aren’t cheap with the meat like some places. I will definitely be ordering here again. I enjoyed their food and so did my family.

Everything was cooked to order and full of authentic flavor you can tell the staff loves what they do the phone is promptly answered and everyone is friendly you’re greeted upon arrival and any questions about the food are given honest answers generous portions too you really get your money’s worth Catanos is officially part of my top 10 favorite places and I’d recommend them to everyone in the area

My car died on the way to pick up my takeout order and I called the restaurant to let them know and see what time they closed. The owner was so kind and gracious, and offered to bring my dinner to me on the side of the road. I waited in the car for an hour and a half for AAA to arrive and had a delicious hot meal while I waited. It was freezing out, and I was so touched that the owner would bring me my food, especially since I used the two good to go app and purchased the meal at a discount. The food was fantastic, and this restaurant deserves every success they have. There are still kind people in the world, and those people happen to make good food! Thank you for your kindness and delicious dinner.

Convenient safe parking in front, a small cafeteria style Spanish restaurant. Big menu, big portions. Had the Chicharron Platter, plenty of well-prepared pork, ample portion of rice. Black beans were good.
Very clean inside, large kitchen to handle catering. No frills, just good food.
My second visit really impressed me, they worked the kinks out. Very organized, big portions, very authentic Spanish food.

Comfort food at it’s finest! The black beans were the best I’ve had – perfectly spiced. Also had the Cubano sandwich with thoughts of leaving half for tomorrow…..ha! The pork on the sandwich was tender and juicy. Another gem in this plaza!! Looking forward to trying more of their dishes

If you haven’t eaten at Catano’s yet, you should really try them. OMG! The food is amazing! And everyone that works there (including the owner) is extremely nice and helpful. They gave me samples when I told them it was my first time there. Explaining the whole menu while I was shoveling delicious Spanish food into my mouth. If I could give more than five stars I would have. Outstanding!! Definitely will be a regular customer there
