Typical small town tavern. Stopped in early for the Friday fish fry. Whole fried catfish was good. Meat was hot and moist. Typical sides. Iced tea was actually pretty good because there was TEA taste, and not just water. Great service. Will be visiting again.

I have been eating at the cat and fiddle for years. they hired a new cook several months ago and the food has gone downhill. food is burnt or overcooked, sandwiches aren’t cut, items are forgot.

My wife and daughters go there every Sunday for lunch. They volunteer at the nearby Mid-America Horse Rescue and the whole group picks this place for lunch. It’s a great bar/grill, warm, genuine. Very warm staff makes this simple off-the-beaten-path a great place for a simple lunch or drink. Some rave about their fried chicken special on Sunday (though my wife and girls have not tried it).
