My friend and I had a great experience here. The service was excellent, and we received our food quickly. I ordered a wild burger, and it was the best burger I’ve ever had in my life, which was unexpected. I will definitely be returning!

After a long day of skiing, we were discouraged by the seeing lack of options for delicious burgers in the Lutsen area BUT we happened to stumble upon this absolute gem of an establishment. The service was extremely friendly and fast, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the burgers and fries were of the utmost quality. Will be coming back !!!

Lovely themed restaurant with excellent food. Somewhat self service. We had an excellent breakfast with their avocado toast and the chorizo ciabatta sandwich.
You make your order at the counter. They bring you a pot of coffee and mugs, and a pitcher of water with glasses.

I wasn’t expecting to come across such an exceptional restaurant this far up the North Shore. I was needing to load up on a decent meal before hiking and camping on the SHT, and I stumbled upon this place. I have probably passed by it before but this was the first time I have actually stopped in. The restaurant has a modern rustic decor that feels quite homey. They also have covered outdoor seating as well.
I sat at the bar and ended up ordering a variety of different things. I was initially planning on just ordering the walleye dinner but didn’t realize dinners start at 4pm. So, I pivoted to the coconut crusted walleye fingers as an appetizer. I think this was the best decision I could’ve made because they were delicious. It reminded me of coconut crusted shrimp but in walleye form. So simple yet creative and the coconut pairs perfectly with the walleye and their amazing house made tartar sauce.
For my main dish, I went with the summer greens bowl. The presentation was excellent and the salad was super refreshing. I loved the texture from the crispy chickpeas and the sweetness from the fruit. I started contemplating whether or not I should get dessert and said what the heck, I might as well finish with the moscato berry tiramisu cake. Once again, they knocked it out of the park. This tiramisu was excellent and a great way to end the meal.
What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into a 2 hour experience. I had planned on just getting in and out, but I am glad that I decided to try a bunch of different things. Also, shout out to the service all around from the chefs to the bartenders to the servers. Everyone was great at their job and easy going. The bartender Ray was great to chat with as well and best of luck on your future travels mate!

Located near Lutsen on the North Shore is one of the region’s top restaurants. In the past, we would frequently drive by and think about stopping during our North Shore excursions. This time, we decided to stop for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned for breakfast the following two mornings. The breakfasts we had during our three visits were consistently excellent, with generous portions and a wide variety of options. The ordering process is efficient: collect a menu by the door, place your order and pay at the register, and receive your food quickly. We were impressed with the quality of the egg dishes, cinnamon bun, apple fritter French toast, and pancakes. The prices are very reasonable.

The best Beef Stew I’ve had in a long time. Service was fast and reasonably priced, especially for its proximity to a ski resort. I would recommend anyone to go here over other places near Lutsen. Staff was friendly and they have a unique idea of ordering at the register then finding a table.

What a great place for a group dinner! We did have reservations for our large group of over 10. Loved the atmosphere. It was busy, a line to order food, once ordered it came to our table quickly. Musician most every night, and we could see lake Superior from our table!

We had passed by a couple times while touring Minnesota Highway 61. The guide book rated it well.
We stopped in for a late lunch. We were pleased with the variety of lunch options.
We chose the Blue cheeseburger with home made chips and the lobster/shrimp ceviche. The burger was cooked just right. The home made fries were absolutely delicious. Crispy, crunchy bites! The ceviche was good and came with tortilla chips. Very nice wait staff.

Spent about three hours while waiting for some skiers to finish the North Shore race. Service was very friendly, coffee was good, chorizo and egg sandwich was great though a bit overpriced even for today ($14) and the large portion of fish and chips looked great but were just okay. The fish batter seemed over-salted, and the fries were either overcooked or fried in dirty oil as they were kinda hard and darker than expected. The tartar sauce was very good, however. Overall a decent experience with the coziness and hospitality, but the food was just okay for the cost.
