This was a last minute find. There is an El Maguey near me in San Juan Capistrano. I was in Claremont with a friend and it was past dinner time. So we found Casa Maguey and we couldn’t be happier. The ambiance of the restaurant, inside & out, was beautiful and inviting. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was Cielo and she was so sweet and attentive. A wonderful experience and if I lived closer, I’d be a rwgular!

Taco Tuesday is an outstanding spread. Homemade tortillas, roasted jalapeño’s, cucs, salsas .. street corn. We had the watermelon margaritas which were great too.

Met with friend for Taco Tuesday/Happy Hour. We sat at the bar and this place had a kind and attentive staff. The bar tender informed us of the day’s food special: a taco bar with nice size soft tortillas with meat of our choice. In addition, potatoes and beans were available to add to the delicious tacos. We were informed of the Sunday Brunch for $38, this includes unlimited mimosas. Great price! Looking forward to trying it.

Had a great time at Casa Maguey celebrating a birthday. Our party got the fajitas and birria – both were well prepared and presented. We also got a pitcher of margaritas which was very good and everything was reasonably priced for the quality. They brought out complimentary flan for the birthday girl too. We’ll be back!

Food delicious!!! Brunch Buffet Amazing!!! I’m not sure if he was the owner or the head manager, but he was so kind and helpful, BUT!!!! they have an absolutely impatient, unhelpful, rude employee who just killed the whole experience for us…. from the moment we walked in, this employee gave us the most ugliest look… Maybe cause we had kids…. ( that, by the way, are very well behaved) or cause we were a larger group, we stayed positive and tried to enjoy our meals but were ignored multiple times was forgotten about when asked for items, and when we questioned we were told that we are not the only table, mind u we were there earlier to try to avoid the larger crowds and there were only about 5 ot 6 tables in use at the time. We spoke out to the manager, and thankfully, he took over and changed the vibe, not to be sure about coming back if this certain individual still works at the location…

My party and I attended a “soft opening” for a pre-Mother’s Day meal. The restaurant ambience was great, not crowded, and bustling with excited patrons. The menus were hard to read with the small type, but with the 9 of us we worked it out. Ordered a wide variety of items from the menu starting with appetizers and ending with dessert. The service was slow and our waiter seemed to not be familiar with the menu items, but we still enjoyed ourselves. If you like dining outdoors, check out the dining area with its cool lighting. A few things I noticed were the use of frozen avocado with a lot of our selections from ceviche to several entree items. While the meals were tasty, the over-use of salt was a turn off. The kiddos could not eat their meals which required an additional stop to accommodate them after our meal. I will give this restaurant another chance in the future and hope they have improved on seasoning their meal options. My suggestion to CM:

This place was outstanding- we had the brunch. All the food was delicious & plenty of it. Lots of selection. Wait staff was excellent. Always topping off our mimosas, asking if we needed anything. The manager was everywhere! Making sure everyone had what they needed. Very friendly staff- you can tell this is a well run restaurant. Our 1st time here & we will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend.
