I was excited to visit this place but I ended up pretty disappointed.
It was not as I expected. 12 oz ribeye ($50) was too bland… asparagus and mashed potatoes were ok… queso fundido with mushrooms were not up to my liking either, tortillas were a total fiasco… only the green salsa was acceptable. Gin Berry and Madre Jarrito were good drinks, mostachon and cafe instantaneo didn’t make it out to be better either. I tried to have a good experience but it was not the case. Next morning I was sick… not pretty at all…Waiter charged me twice for the dessert and manager to avoid reopening the check to fix it advised to just give me cash back we’re waiter gave us $12.00 even back when dessert costs $12.99 + taxes , wife wanted me to say something but I just wanted to leave the place. I left a 20% tip because I am who I am but the place needs to live up to its reputation and some staff needs retraining… some others were at point… not our waiter though…

Food was flavorful, waitress was polite. Other staff members seemed to be upset or concerned that i was eating there. Not sure if it was because I wasn’t dressed more refined or what the reason, but I paid my bill before I finished my food and left. Definitely not the first impression I was hoping for having driven 4.5 hrs to eat.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We saw it on TikTok. My wife and I decided to drive down to Mc Allen 4 hours drive when we got there our waiter seen ok I ordered the molcajete imperial but I had them modified from the porterhouse to wagyu steak . There was an increase on the price which I didn’t care . My wife got the arranchera wagyu steak . So while we where waiting my wife and I were already having second thoughts of just paying for what we had consumed and just go next door to the Brazilian steak house but then I told my wife let me just see if they were able to modify my food because the waiter never came back so the manager came by and I told her that we wanted to pay for what we consumed and leave because the waiter was horrible and our food was probably not worth the money or the drive . So she responded, give me a chance to serve you and you won’t be disappointed with the food . please give me the opportunity to give you a great experience. So because of Isela Martínez. We decided to stay and had a great experience our food was amazingly delicious . I would recommend this restaurant and if you have a problem ask for her because you can tell that she loves what she and because of her I will be coming back and try different plates. The concha madre dessert was delicious. I’m not a concha person but this right here was delicious. Thank you isela martinez for making our evening special and the long drive worth it .

I think it is over rated… all because of the tiktok videos I guess they hype it up too much… it’s also over priced… we got like 3/4 servers, each time a new one kept coming and when we wanted something we didn’t know who to ask for because we didn’t know who it was… and while we ate they only went once to the table to ask if everything was okay. The food was good but not for the price, I guess as a one time thing to get the experience is okay.

But my experience at this place was beyond espectacular!!! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff, as soon as we got a table the service kept on a “crescendo”… Maria assisted us with all information of drinks available and made one for us on the spot, absolutely amazing. Bryan, the quality of his service, what a guy, he is all smiles, and always provided answers to all of our questions about the menu, I have not had such a pleasant experience in a long time, the food, the desserts, the service, the place, the ambience, absolutely 10 plus! We had a couple desserts the first night and we went back the next day to have the menudo and the Cabrito, both absolutely fantastic, maybe the “riñonada” went a couple extra minutes in the oven, but the seasoning and taste was beautiful! We are coming back for more 100 % and maybe one of those days we get lucky to say HI to Antonio, who I follow on his videos!
Come and have a good time, and spoil your taste buds with all the menu choices available!

Been wanting to try this place for the longest time, decided to take my mom for Mother’s Day, the setting outside and inside was beautiful.!
All plates were flavorful. The pasta was creamy!
The steak was bland and seasoned perfectly!
The chicharrones de rib eye were also delicious.
Planning to go again for brunch.

Got the ribeye plate and it was overcooked and had no flavor. The steak quesadillas were fire though, and the nonalcoholic drinks were solid. The latte and cappuccino were great too. Dessert we got the stuffed concha and it was just okay.
Honestly, the food looks better than it tastes. For what we paid, we should’ve just gone to a steakhouse.
Also, the AC is always an issue here —last weekend it was so hot we left, and this time it was still warm and stuffy.

When I say you all have to come and try this place, you won’t be disappointed, I came to try it out for the first time after a doctor’s appointment and it was great. The atmosphere is friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and of superior quality. My server Roxy was friendly and kind. I came alone and they made me feel very welcomed. I will definitely be back with family and friends!
