We’re Casa Cancun Mexican Grill, and we’ve been a Mexican restaurant here in Des Moines, IA, since 2022. We offer Venezuelan dishes, seafood, kid’s menu, and more. Our owner started this business after being in the restaurant industry for a long time and wanting to start a business that he could run with his family. We believe in treating our customers like family. We’re looking forward to partnering with West Des Moines, Waukee, and Altoona consumers, as we continue offering a premier dining experience. Everything was amazing. They started us off with a huge tray of chips with salsa, and I was like no way are we going to finish this…I was wrong because it was so good. I just moved downtown and have been testing out the nearby Mexican restaurants. I like to compare each one by their cheese dip and margaritas. Casa Cancun is a winner for both! I ordered the Pollo Mexicano (basically a Chori Pollo) and it was fabulous. I can’t wait to bring my friends!

My friend Chris suggested Casa Cancun. The food was fresh, the salsa was made in house, the chorizo quesadillas delish and the tacos were on point. It was Wednesday Margaritas and they too were excellent. Some Venezuelan offerings were a nice surprise. Our weitress was kind and upbeat. We will be going back for sure!!

My family and I gathered here for my husbands birthday! There was 11 of us, we absolutely loved it! I had the Enchiladas Mexicanos, my dad had the steak fajitas, and my brother had the burritos. All of them were so flavorful, I took a bite of everyone’s food! My kids had the cheese quesadilla, burger, and chicken tender; all of which were superb. Staff was friendly, and very quick! Can’t wait to go back in. ps, try their queso blanco & guacamole. It will not disappoint.

Only in Des Moines for 2 days. On our last day decided to have Mexican food. Let me tell you, these reviews are all real. I have tried Mexican in the best places, and this place was pretty close to the best places. Food was fantastic and very friendly staff. I hope they keep getting even better. If I ever come back to Des Moines, I’ll definitely be back to give them another try
