I generally only get soups from Pho restaurants because they are very good and not very oily, however on this occasion I decided to order chicken tortilla soup and from Casa Amelia,& had no real expectation of what I was going to get.

The tortilla was freshly baked and hot with oil, it was real chicken! So many flavors in the soup and just the right amount of salt! And a bean and cheese pupusa was huge!

Went on Sunday for lunch and place was not crowded. Many Mexican food options on the menu. Place is small but managed well… I will give visit again to try different dishes… I liked rice with beans and grilled vegetables… tacos were good

I paid for 3 pupusas but received 2, I ate one and I called to explain that I only received 2…
They proceeded to tell me it’s under the other pupusa… I explained I ate 1 and I’m looking at the last one..the guy stated he believes his cook before a customer… for lousy $3 they lost a customer. Check your meals before exiting!!

THIS USED TO BE MY FAVORITE PLACE TO ORDER FROM….I HAVE ORDERED FROM HERE MANY TIMES BEFORE AND LIKED THE FOOD. SO YESTERDAY (2.12.17), I ORDERED 4 PAPUSAS FOR MY HUSBAND, 1 CHICKEN QUESADILLA FOR MYSELF AND CHICKEN TENDERS WITH FRIES FOR MY 1 AND 2 YEAR OLD. THEY DELIVERED AND SERVED US RAW CHICKEN! Cooked chicken is white inside and raw chicken is yellow and tansparent. This is raw! My babies were eating that! My husband went to go steal a piece of chicken from my kids and bit into a raw chicken tender from the kids menu! My kids had been eating raw chicken which is dangerous btw. He said his papusas were frozen in the middle and that the beans inside tasted funny . My quesadilla was fine. However, after i discovered that all the chicken pieces were raw, i called casa amelia right away to tell them about this. I spoke to a young lady who was nice and offered to send chicken wings. I declined in fear that i would get more raw ones and then gave in and accepted them. Though she wasn’t the one who cooked the food; she and the delivery man were very apologetic. I showed the delivery man what was delivered to us. He was embarrassed, disgusted and very apologetic. And said “yea that doesnt look good at all”. Lord knows i wanted to speak to the manager. Me and my children currently have the runs from the food. I dont know how they could have let this happen. I am never calling here again. I am very scared to order from here again. I used to love it until this happened. Please check your food for yourselves and your children. I would never forgive myself if something serious ever happened to my babies for eating that raw chicken. I BLAME THEM FOR RUSHING EVERYTHING. I WAITED A GOOD 1HOUR AND 20 MINUTES. my food should be cooked to par. Faithful customer…GONE!

Amazing service, amazing food, everything I’ve ordered from here is always always fresh. So there will be a wait due to them making it. It’s so beautiful inside, full of life vibrant colors. Feels like you’re overseas in Guatemala or Mexico. Another plus is they have candy, drinks and accessories from their countries. Like friendship bracelets, purses, hats key chains etc. This is a lovely place to go to just to have fun and try some authentic food. Loved every minute of it, I go here every other day.

Very dishonest people I ordered a beef burrito which said online was $11 but upon arriving the total magically came out to a whopping $17! And to make it worse upon eating my burrito THEY GAVE ME A FISH BURRITO AND NOT THE BEEF I ASKED FOR I cannot eat this very frustrated never coming back here again and the owners are unclean and work in unsanitary conditions the whole neighborhood knows

We had our food delivered, and the delivery guy was very friendly. Great selection of genuine Mexican and Spanish food. The food was good (although the meat in the beef taco could have used more flavor), and any lime, cilantro, lettuce, etc was fresh and crisp. The display was well done, and it was a treat even opening up the food containers. I especially liked the steak quesadilla!
