Literally low-cost prison food. Looks like colleges are being “won over” by the lowest bidder mind set. There is no way this is the trash that should be getting served to students who are paying the astronomical college costs already.

Love this place! Sooooo much to choose from and they want you to eat!! Kitchen staff is amazing friendly. The desserts are heavenly, have milk, chocolate milk on tap, plus fountain pops, and selection of juices. They have just about every condiment or sauce you would need. Ample toppings and things to choose from. The college kids don’t give a hoot about some random adults dining, so don’t let that intimidate you!

Carson is good until you have the Carson Limited Meal plan. In my opinion, it is a good meal plan but beware, just like most of my friends with the plan (and me), we are getting sick of the food. They repeat the same food every week. Tuesdays are always taco Tuesdays, Friday is fried chicken and sandwiches and so on. It repeats.

Carson is way too expensive for what they serve. I arrived there in the middle of the lunch special to soon realize they were out of the main course. This was after my girlfriend and I had paid for our meals. The rest of the options were lackluster, so we decided to ask for a refund. When we went up to ask, the manager was very rude and said that there usually wasn’t much left at this time anyway. I then asked why that was not expressed to us before we paid. She then finally caved and refunded one of our meals and told us to leave and this whole ordeal happened before we ate anything from our plates. Overall I feel totally ripped off and I won’t be dining here again.

The food here is actually pretty good, being that it’s the most cafeteria-like dining hall on campus. The hours of service are a little odd, though, and there are awkward breaks between meal times, during which there is not much food available. There’s always plenty of seating, even at peak times. Everything is usually very clean, too. It may be somewhat expensive (with a point-based meal plan), but it’s worth it most of the time.

Good value if you have a meal plan. Not so much with cash. Decent food and a good selection. Always a salad bar, sandwich bar, fruit and yoghurt, cereal and soup as well as desserts. Two main non vegetarian meals as well as one that is change on a rotation with slight changes each term. Lots of dunk choices, hot and cold. And fried Fridays for lunch each week has amazing chicken tenders and curly fries.

This place is a delicious buffet that shattered my expectations for cafeteria food. Nice employees. The people here make great work to make sure everything is cooked right and fresh. The diversity and variety per day is what makes this place always worth going to.

Food is very hit or miss. There are some delicious sounding foods that they advertise, but when you actually serve yourself the food, you kind of see how eh it really is. For example, they were serving Indian food. The chicken was not terrible, but felt like they got cheap discount grocery chicken and added some americanized sauce to it. Fridays are dope though since they have chicken tenders and curly fries with grilled cheese. Also, you can be healthy here if you really want to. Finally, for students its a great place! I remember being in a dorm with meal points and being able to save a lot of points by eating here constantly. Other than that, most days the $8-11 (forgot how much pretty sure its $10) isn’t really worth it.

As a student, I love having a dining option that changes. All the dining venues on campus are good, but dining here is the closest thing to a home cooked meal.
