Update 8-13-23 we gave them a second chance for brunch and was not impressed with the food quality. But the absolute worst part is this place has the nastiest restrooms. Keep in mind this is the same restrooms your cooks and servers are using. They need some serious work done on this building but fixing the out of order toilets and a deep clean of the bathroom are needed immediately.

This is a place where you get your money’s worth. There is some great food here. If you go during the week and just order off the menu, it’s great. The weekend buffet is the best around. The beer is always cold. I recommend the 64oz, the only place I know that has a 64oz beer.

Upon arrival, I was not impressed. I almost walked back out. They have a 90 score and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom but after speaking with the manager. I understood they were short staffed and have alot to keep up with in such a big building. She assured me she was sorry and quickly replaced toilet paper. She assured me her 90 score had nothing to do with sanitation. With that said. Staff were amazing. They were nice and smiled. Food was delicious and fast. HUGE portions. If your a hungry man. This is the place! They also have a buffet option. They were prompt on requests. Love the setting. Cherry moonshine was stout! Prices are very reasonable especially with the amount of food you get. I am impressed and will be back. Four stars because I feel they can do better.

It may seem unassuming on the outside, but it’s well worth the visit. The Carolina Steak was perhaps the best I ever tasted. The smoked prime rib could use a little more time in the smoker. Be warned on sides… HUGE portions that can easily be a meal for two people on their own. Great food and great service. We really enjoyed this place.

This was my first visit to Carolina Smoke Barbeque Grill. I had the Sunday Brunch Buffet. They had lots of selections. I tried to sample as many items as possible. I do need to add the buffet that had breakast items, scrambled eggs, bacon, and livermush biscuits grave with french toast also. I did not try any of those items. However, they looked very appatizing. I have to say I loved every item on the buffet. The only item that I had that was just not to my liking was the Crab Cake. That’s the only item I have to say I would not try again. But it was not bad… I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very warm, welcoming and super friendly. I’ll definitely return

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We arrived here at 4 pm and were sat pretty quick. We ordered by 4:20 pm and didn’t receive the first half of our order until 5:45pm. We then we’re still missing 3 salads that we didn’t receive until almost 45 minutes after the first round they brought. A table that arrived 45 minutes after us had their entire order. This is horrible service and the worst experience by far I’ve ever had in morganton. The manager told us the reason our food didn’t come out before the 2 hour wait was because they were out of 3 different things we didn’t even order. The buffet to make your salads had the lettuce sitting out for hours. They lettuce was hot, and the bar was a mess. They had left over breakfast sitting out at 6 pm! This is horrible sanitation as well. The best part is that they didn’t make us pay after the wait and poor service. All the food came out cold too when they did bring the salads we watched the manager go to the bar with the nasty left out lettuce and throw it in the bowl and take it to the back and put chicken in it and it too came out cold and nasty. We didn’t eat the food and they didn’t make us pay which is good, however, I would not recommend this place for the service quality/ sanitation and price. Horrible experience.
