We enjoyed everything about this amazing restaurant. The food was delicious, the menu so full of choices it was hard to decide. Everything we tried was over the top with flavor and the service was incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. Everyone from hostess to wait staff and bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Made us feel right at home. Atmosphere is very laid back, relaxed, and welcoming and love the open windows which let the cool breeze come in and connect the inside to outside. Located in a really nice spot in Buckhead Village. Highly recommend the Flounder, Redfish, and baked oysters!

The best experience ever! I came here to celebrate my birthday and WOW. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and on my table was a beautiful birthday card! The energy the entire night was amazing! My server was absolutely amazing, super attentive, kind, and really made me feel celebrated. The food was delicious and plated so nicely. The bar staff was amazing too! I was surprised with a birthday dessert and that personal touch along with the card honestly meant so much to me and made my whole night. The lychee martini was bomb too!! I already know i’ll be back and probably a regular! lol

I went here after work to celebrate my journey I was on and also treat a guy for doing some car repairs for me as a Valentine’s gift. The food was more than I expected. He ordered chicken with mushroom enhancements, I had red fish with carrots, we had raw and rockafella oysters and of course my glass of red wine. Oh and a second round of raw oysters were delightful. It was the sweet vinegar to add taste and a taste of jalapeños sauce as well. The server we had was awesome. Thank you so much for a great evening.

A step above. My sister and I wanted to explore the restaurant scene and came across this gem. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff were attentive. Although the request wasn’t made at my table, an older woman was having difficulty reading the menu due to the lighting and the staff jumped into action a got her a little lamp. That’s service. The caviar fries are definitely the draw as we saw many orders roll out the kitchen. They did not disappoint but the portion size is better suited to 4 people, instead of 2. The oysters were fresh and delicious according to my sister. The milk bun was warm and soft, the carrots were cooked nicely. The grilled branzino was amazing. The lasagna was la play on Mac and cheese and could use a bit of varied seasoning. While the crab cake was meaty and sumptuous. Even the dessert was presented beautifully. We will return to further explore the menu.

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta hands DOWN! Everything is always so fresh, flavorful, and healthy. The drinks are very well made. Ahh I wanted to love this place and had heard so many good things about it but maybe they were having an off night?? The caviar fries were good and the drinks were okay but the salmon was tough. I asked for it medium rare to medium and it was completely charred to the point I had to really work at it with my knife. I think it sat in the hot window for far too long as I literally have a burn on my arm from where I touched the plate lol. Our server was nice and the atmosphere was cool the food just left something to be desired. Maybe I’ll go back another time and just order something different??

I visited Carmel Woodfire Seafood and Oyster Bar in Atlanta with a group of friends—there were six of us—and we had a great experience from start to finish. Our server (I think her name was Michelle or Melissa) was fantastic. She had a great sense of humor, gave thoughtful suggestions, and made everything sound so good, from the cocktails to the dinner options to the oyster selections.

The food definitely lived up to the way she described it. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the milk buns are an absolute must-try—soft, buttery, and just perfect. The atmosphere made it a great spot for a night out. It’s not a cheap meal, but it’s an oyster bar, so that’s to be expected. I’d absolutely come back without hesitation.

Carmel was nothing short of spectacular! Atlanta Eats was spot on again. I went here for a first date, and it was an absolute home run—she loved it.

We started with margaritas (definitely not watered down!) and shared an order of mussels. They were a bit small but still packed with flavor. For entrées, I had the branzino, and she had the lobster. Both were cooked perfectly. The collard greens and mashed potatoes on the side were excellent as well.

Our waiter, David, did a fantastic job—attentive, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was classy and romantic, making it a perfect spot for a date night. They don’t offer a military discount, but that’s not a dealbreaker given how great the experience was.

Plenty of parking garages nearby and valet service available. Overall, highly recommend Carmel if you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot with top-notch food and service.

Carmel took us by surprise, quite pleasantly, if I may dare confess. From the street, it presents itself as a modest little bar, its glass windows thrown open to the street, with a few inviting seats arranged for those who fancy themselves creatures of leisure. Yet once within, the space unfolded like a well kept secret. A chamber of warmth and whisper, with a praise worthy bar gazing wistfully upon the street in a manner most reminiscent of the continental cafés of Europe.

We partook in cocktails, having already pledged ourselves to luncheon elsewhere, but I must confess the cocktails were of uncommon excellence. The lychee martini was a curious concoction that did both dazzle and confuse my taste buds in equal measure. It felt part elixir, part flirtation and wholly undeserved by so casual a visit.

We intend to return upon some languid afternoon to perform the art of day drinking and when we do, perhaps I shall make bold to sample the oysters.
