Excellent Tomato and Basil soup, best soup around town. They did a great job on the remodeling. The pizzas from the brick oven are awesome. Great daily specials, especially on Sunday brunch. Bar kind of hip if your into some appies and drinks. The only thing I could think of is temperature inside always seems on the nippy side. Service is good. You can make reservations and reserve tables too. Which I did when I went. Been going here for years. If your in the area, check it out for lunch and dinner. Keeping thinking about the piping hot tomato and basil soup. Hit the spot on a cold day.

Kornerstone Bistro is one of those places that quietly becomes your go-to spot. From the moment you walk in, there’s a relaxed but slightly upscale feel that makes it perfect for anything — casual weeknight dinner, date night, or meeting friends for wine on the patio.
The atmosphere really stands out. The outdoor seating area is especially inviting, giving you that comfortable coastal vibe Porters Neck is known for. Inside, it’s warm and welcoming without being stuffy.
The food is consistently solid and thoughtfully prepared. The Mediterranean and Italian influences show up in flavorful, well-balanced dishes that feel fresh and satisfying. Portions are generous without being overdone, and the weekly specials keep things interesting. You can tell there’s real care behind the menu.
Service deserves its own mention — attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced. Staff checks on you at the right times, keeps drinks refilled, and makes you feel genuinely welcome.
Overall, Kornerstone Bistro delivers a dependable, enjoyable dining experience with good food, great atmosphere, and service that makes you want to come back. Definitely a staple in the Porters Neck area. I will continue to come back to update my reviews.

Wow what a surprise. I had not no idea what to expect but the food was amazing, service was amazing and very well priced. The mussels are a must have but everything was good. They have a wonderful bar with great mixed drinks and martinis. The bread came with fresh pesto. We couldn’t get enough of it. Serving sizes were just right and let’s not forget the cappuccino.

Had reservations for 7:00 checked in at 6:35pm waited till 7:10 and hostess kept telling me she was cleaning our table!! Ended up leaving because the hostess gave our table away while we were standing there waiting and I asked 3 different times if she had a time frame. The food is amazing that’s the reason we choose to eat here but after tonight I will rethink for next time

Great food coming out of their wood fired oven. Beautiful place, nice staff. Our server Sheena was very knowledgeable and efficient. My wife had the calamari and I had baked oysters. Thursdays they’re $1.50 apiece. Great tasting appetizers. My wife ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. I ordered the lasagna. I got some bread and homemade pesto to accompany my lasagna. Good choice! I could see the rest of the staff preparing for the after work crowd. I bet it rocks! We will eat here again, and suggest you give them a shot. I doubt they will disappoint you!

We came to dine yesterday and as always, fantastic!
Always consistent here. The kitchen is always on point. Service is appreciated as well. Thank you!
This was our first time here. We tried a few times but short staffed I assume. We tried again yesterday and ordered takeout. We absolutely loved it! Thank you Jessica for your sweet smile ( in a mask but saw it in her eyes) and kindness and the bartender. Service was spot on. The food was incredible I had the Kstone salad and we had the mussels and broiled point oysters. Great job you guys. We live across the street and will be back!
We went back again for takeout and had Emily take care of us. Such was sweet girl. We had the Greek Salad and Burrata Bruschetta. Delicious! The restaurant is so clean and organized.

I really like the location of Kornerstone- you won’t have any problems with parking. Maybe a little too pricey to bring kids but it is family friendly and a really fun location to meet friends. My friend did the “Build Your Own Salad” and I had the flounder Mediterranean and it was SOO GOOD! I honestly didn’t think anything looked that great on the menu but this was suggested and I loved it. They have a Vegan menu if you ask and a spiritless drink menu – very nice.

The chicken penne with parmesan sauce was barely edible and I could not eat but a couple bites. I’ve had chicken penne with Parmesan sauce before numerous times and this paper in comparison. More like stale garlic. My wife’s Autumn Penne special, however, was very good and she enjoyed it very much and it was gluten free! I don’t know that we will go back mostly because it’s a fair distance from better food in Wilmington.

My prime rib was excellent. Friday night is prime rib night, make reservations ahead of time. We went at 5 and it was the perfect time to go. Salad was fresh, Prime Rib cooked just right and a nice slice.
