Fabulous food, service, and atmosphere. A perfect place for a birthday, special occasion—or any other night. John, our server, was phenomenal. The French Onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Sunday special, Coq au vin, was a real treat. Great wine. Highly recommended restaurant.

My friend and I decided to try Pomeroy, and overall it was a memorable experience. It had been a long time since I’d had French food, and the quality really stood out. The mussels were excellent, full of flavor, and the garlic bread paired perfectly with the mussel sauce.
Service was good overall. The staff member who cleared our table was attentive, checked in on us regularly, and kept our water glasses filled. From my perspective, our waitress wasn’t the friendliest, but it didn’t completely take away from the experience.
The ambiance was a highlight, very clean, cozy, and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The hostess especially made us feel genuinely welcomed.
If you’re looking for great mussels, this is definitely the spot to try.
PS: They offer valet parking, which is a nice bonus.

Exceeded all expectations! This spot is a total gem tucked away in the suburbs. The Mussels Marinière were incredibly creamy and smooth, the broth is a must-dip. The Onion Soup and Warm Tomato Tarte were classic bistro perfection, and the Le Benedict with its crumpet base was a standout brunch choice. If you’re looking for an authentic Parisian experience without heading into the city, I’d highly recommend Pomeroy!

The service. Jordan, Phil, Armando, and Marirose; to each person, they really do this restaurant proud. Te atmosphere is perfect! Has this roaring 20’s feel. Very chic and stylish, yet not pompous or arrogant.

This was our second time at Pomeroy and it did not disappoint. Food was great and came quickly after we ordered. The seafood was very tasty, especially the mussels. The short rib was also delicious and slowed cooked very well with a tasty wine sauce. Both desserts, the creme brûlée and coconut ice cream, were phenomenal leaving us wanting more!

We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday dinner at Pomeroy. The food was very French, unfortunately nobody at the restaurant speaks French. We enjoyed “seared scallops”, perfectly cooked and very flavorful spinach/oil/roe/vin blanc on the side, followed by a “tuna tartar”, tender and fresh and perfect aioli dressing. In between we nibbled on oven-warm French baguettes with kitchen made butter. The entrées were “steak frites”, I liked it medium-rare and it was tender through with tasty crunchy frites and herb-butter on the side. Another stellar hit was “trofie au pistou”, our friend had it with chicken, the shrimps would have complemented the very tasty stracciatella slightly better. My wife had “mediterranean sea bass”, cooked to perfection, flaky but not dry. We followed through “chocolate pot de crème”, love the texture and deep chocolate flavor followed by a “Buck Russell’s red velvet cake”, nothing was left !

A really lovely French restaurant in Winnetka worth a drive from the city. We showed up as walkins on a Saturday at 5:15 and the place was nearly packed already which is always a good sign. Everything we ordered was delicious and we will happily come again when in the area.

Our server, Jordan, was outstanding. He was professional, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout the entire meal.
