Carl’s Bakery is a From-Scratch bakery that has been operating since 1957. We offer a full line of baked goods ranging from breads, buns, fried rolls, cakes, cookies, bars, and a host of other breakfast and specialty seasonal items. We also sell farm fresh pasture-raised meats from Streblow Family Farm; which are featured in such things as our breakfast sandwiches and the variety of from-scratch soups and stews we offer on our lunch menu.

I went early this morning, 1/3 on a Saturday, to get some donuts for breakfast. Their posted hours were 6am to 1pm. So tell me why at 7:45 they were still closed with the lights off and the chairs up, when they were supposed to be open? And I wasn’t even the only customer to pull up at the store at that time. Hate it when local businesses can’t honor their own posted hours. Will not be going back.

It’s 85 in the store minimum. A little AC would go a long way.
Service wasn’t anything to be overjoyed with. We were the only ones in the shop, a drive up came and we waited for the, hopefully new employee, to discern how to answer a question.
We left hoping they survive being open for business.

This bakery has completely ruined all other maple donuts for me—in the best way. Their maple donuts are the best I’ve ever had! Soft, fresh, just the right amount of sweetness— and then there’s the center. I don’t know what magic they put in there (dreams? clouds? happiness?), but it’s my mom and i’s new favorite treat to have each week with my nephew. I don’t know who Carl is, never seen him— so he might be god himself.

Stopped at Carl’s in hopes they had Angle Food cake, they had one in the back freezer. Score! We happened to stop when the Firefighters were holding a Burger & Brat fundraiser (chips and a soda meal $10) Buns were from Carl’s and now I regret not getting a package of buns. The Blueberry Fritter was unbelievable.

Have to stop every time we come out from the cities. Delicious doughnuts that just melt in your mouth. Also have amazing other bakery products like breads and buns.

Came to the bakery to grab a quick breakfast. But it was far from quick we waited for 15 mins to get our sausage whatever’s but if you should be hungry in Granite Falls in the morning please don’t go to the bakery if you are looking for speed this is not the place

I’ve never run into a business that was so judgmental about their own patrons, nor have I seen such hatred manifest in people shoving religion down everyone’s throats. Rude, uneducated and serves bland food. They don’t even practice what they preach (and they preach a lot).
