The best Mangonada!
And I moved from the Mexican border to the Midwest – I know a good Mangonada!

The tamales… Oh my word.
You just have to try the tamales.

The Dorielotes! ¡Muy sabrosa!

tamales $3 a piece. typical Mexican ice cream bar $3 a piece. Credit card machine down, cash only. No sales tax? Tamale has good masa though; for better value, one should go to places on Sunset instead.

There wasn’t any website listed with pricing or menu options but we opted to check it out anyways. We purchased four mangonadas for $10 a cup which is a bit pricey in our opinion. The main reason I’m rating this place so low is because of the service. My friend was carrying the four cups in a cup holder and she set it down to unlock her car and it all tipped over and fell to the ground. Devastated we all were but she went back inside to repurchase and the owner didn’t feel any sort of sympathy or anything. I think as a business owner, to be courteous and keep your customers, you do some act of kindness. In this situation, we thought maybe she’d feel bad and offer us some sort of discount or anything tbh but no she simply made four more mangonadas and charged us fully again for the 4. So we walked out of there spending technically $80 for some mangonadas on top of other snacks we bought. Not worth your time or money.
