THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. The chef was passionate about his dishes and stopped at nothing to make us laugh. The specials were out of this world!!! Highly HIGHLY recommend. Skippack is a great area for food, but this BY FAR is the best one in the area.

Something had been calling me to this place for quite awhile and I finally made it in… Sorry I waited so long..it was wonderful!! Menu selection was more then adequate, service was extremely good yet unpretentious, and the food was amazing!! Especially the Ceviche..(definitely on the spicey side but that’s how I like it) The place has a quaint charm even though decorated in the bold decor of Mexico. It is a BYOB place which is another plus in my book. Long story short..this is definitely an absolute new favorite of mine!

Came in here early on a Saturday eveming with the family, and we all wanted to like this restaurant, but unfortunately we just didn’t. The portion sizes were decent, our server was polite, and I did enjoy the rice and the mole sauce, but we were underwhelmed by our meals otherwise, to the point much of it was picked over and uneaten. The server mentioned they used mozzarella cheese on one of the dishes, which I thought odd for a Mexican style restaurant. Fairly certain I heard a microwave from the open kitchen area, make of that what you will. I don’t foresee us returning.

I really loved this place. We went there on a stormy Saturday night with another couple.

My husband and I are fortunate to live in the Skippack area and so close to Mexican fine dining at its best. The hospitality, warmth, and delicious food at Carisma are second to none. We bring our own margaritas and let the wonderful family who runs this restaurant supply the rest. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts are simply the best whether served inside this beautiful restaurant or on the lovely patio in warmer weather.

The first time I came here was for my birthday. I ordered the pork in mushroom sauce. The cozy atmosphere, wonderful homey service, and food took me back to my roots. This place offered me the most authentic meal that I have ever gotten in the US. Because it was my birthday I was surprised with a free desert with a candle! Jose brought it out as he sang happy birthday to me. It was a great experience and I encourage everyone to give this place a try.

My wife and I went here for lunch and we both loved it. Food was delicious and super fresh. My wife had a chicken burrito and I had a chicken chimichanga and the black bean soup, they were authentic and nicely done. If you’ve been to some non-authentic Mexican restaurants in PA and they just load it up with tons of crazy sauces and bold flavors to mask the quality of their food and you like that then you night not like it here. I can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes for dinner. Also the service was great and everyone was very nice and friendly.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Carisma on New Year’s Eve! The restaurant is warm and lively – when you walk in, the cooks are preparing the food in the open kitchen. We started with tortilla soup. The broth was full of flavor and very freshly made. Our entrees were delicious! The margarita chicken came with fresh lemons and oranges to enhance the sauce, and the mexican rice was a tasty side. Great portion size for a great price, especially for a BYOB in Skippack. The owner not only cooked the food but was very personable and came around to talk to the guests. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

My wife and I ate here with a friend and out 7 month old son. The food was absolutely spectacular, a breadth of fresh flavors. The manager expedited our food and did so because we had our son with us. It was very thoughtful of him and it allowed us to finish our food before my son began to fuss. We will be back it was an excellent experience.
