What an incredible restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner who is one of the most welcoming and friendly people I’ve ever met. The inside is really cute. It gives you vacation vibes with the decor which is always nice. The food? It was outstanding. The oxtail stole the show for me, but we also loved the jerk chicken and Chipotle BBQ pork cubes. The rice and beans were fantastic too and I’ve never met a plantain I didn’t love. For the price, you get a lot of food! Everything about this place was excellent. The owner treats you like family, the food is cooked like your sweet grandma made it, and I urge you all to give CariBlue a shot. It’s a refreshing breath of culinary air. We’ll be back!

Abel Cano(chef/owner) is the most welcoming person, and his food is bursting with Caribbean flavor! You must try the oxtail, and the curry goat! The jerk chicken is amazing, and the ribs and shrimp are so flavorful! Portions will leave you full and happy! And don’t forget tye pineapple upside down cake for dessert! We discovered Cariblue when they were in Redwood City, now they are in Modesto and we drove 2 hrs from Daly City just to eat there, and it was totally worth it! All the photos are of the times we went to RWC, except the last 2 photos, those are from our recent trip to Modesto.

Hello yall. I am trying new spots around Modesto and stumbled across Cariblue on Apple Maps. I ordered the oxtail and jerk chicken and it was amazing. For the price you are paying and the amount of food you get is crazy. The food was tender and hot when I got back to work. Abe the gentleman or helped me with my order was very kind and welcoming. Overall if you want to try a new spot I suggest Cariblue.

Abe is very passionate about the cuisine he serves and provides a beautiful customer experience.
The food was seasoned well and authentic! The oxtail and chicken was falling off the bone, tender, moist, and sooo tasty! We also enjoyed the Mac and cheese, and the plantains were done to perfection thank you for such an enjoyable dining experience! I can’t wait to come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came on the recommendation of a friend last month and I’m so glad I did! Perfect quiet hole in the wall place with something new to offer to the 209 area.
I ordered the jerk chicken and goat curry because I couldn’t decide. The food was excellent! The meat was flavorful and tender, paired well with the rice and plantains.
The owner is very kind. I had such fun talking to him and learning about his story of how he came to cook Jamaican food. He went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my experience. He even let me sample the oxtail, which might have been my favorite of the 3 meats I tried! Thanks Abel for sharing your love of food!

The owner Abel was kind, informative, and his genuine love for what he does really shines through.
It’s a must try, for some true Jamaican flavors.
My combination plate ( ox tail, jerk chicken, rice with beans and plantains) was a flavor explosion. Abel even made a little extra spicy jerk sauce ( not that it need extra but… some just like it hot hot hot ) for just a bit more kick. The jerk sauce is so very fresh and bright with the lime a fresh herbs.
Thank you for bringing such great flavors to our area I look forward to enjoying more of you food.

My husband and I came in today before our movie for a quick lunch. We tried the jerk chicken, the jerk pork and barbecue pork. They were absolutely delicious, seasoned to perfection. The owner recommended that we try it with festival cornbread festival, which we proceeded to enjoy with the sauce. The owner was very attentive and kind. This restaurant is nestled in between a Starbucks and Little Caesars. I highly recommend coming to eat here. They also do catering! We cannot wait to bring our friends and family in.

I go so often I think I’ve had nearly everything on the menu at least once at this point. My go-to order is the Ox Tail and Pork Cubes combo plate (pictured) and it never disappoints. The flavors are rich, savory, and full of depth every single time. My personal recommendation is to get a side of the Corn Festival to combine with any extra sauce.
On top of the great food, Chef Abel is one of the kindest and most welcoming people around. No matter how busy things get, he always takes a moment to greet us and share a friendly word, even if it’s just a quick hello. That kind of genuine hospitality makes every visit feel special.

I stopped in this afternoon for the first time after wanting to try it for a while now. I got the oxtail plate and it was delicious! The meat falls off the bone and the depth of flavor makes you want to keep eating until it’s gone. Then you can mix the rice and beans in the leftover oxtail sauce to top everything off I’ll definitely be coming back for the oxtail plate alone. Maybe next time I’ll try the jerk chicken as well.
