After four million views of my reviews, I might be about to move to South Carolina right next to Brown’s Barbecue in Kingstree. When I tell you that this place is consistently good, it’s an understatement. My wife and I have eaten at this establishment on three separate occasions, and each time the food was awesome! We can’t wait until we’re in the area again so we can eat some more of that country goodness!!!

The worst buffet set up near the door!!! The food was awful!! The Mac and cheese was not cooked properly very runny with some liquid!!! The dessert bar was a mess and some dried up pie!!! Definitely a waste of money for this place!!! I won’t be going back!!! This place needs to be shut down immediately!!! The place is nasty, lazy staff that does not take care of the buffet because their desserts were completely out and left behind was dried up food crumbs!!!

My husband has been trying to get me to try this place for months. After leaving Myrtle Beach and heading back to Columbia, it was the perfect opportunity to do so. I was skeptical because of the reviews but after one bite I was made a believer. I am picky about where I eat and the quality of my food. I also don’t do buffets. But bayyyybayyy, I enjoyed everything I ate! All of the food was HOT and flavorful. It tasted like what I was supposed to taste like- not just seasonings. The chicken was piping hot and fresh. The pulled BBQ was delicious. The dressing was good to be in a buffet. The sweet potatoes were good, the collards were excellent, and the succotash was excellent. Customer service was great! Everybody was so friendly and my husband says the folks are always nice when he goes in and he’s there at least 2-3 times a month. My only complaint is that there’s not one closer to me …hahaha! I’ll definitely be back!

Young lady that waited on me was very well mannered. Good bbq but food came from buffet line and there were flies on some spoons and one of those spoons was used to put slaw on my sandwiches. The buffet has a great assortment of good food but it needs to be enclosed for the insects and also the customers that pick over it, so it can’t be tampered with. Just my thoughts.

Browns has been and will always be my favorite BBQ. Normally when I go lately I just get a few pounds of BBQ to go. This weekend I picked up two small plates. They were loaded down with food and provided enough for 4 people. You can’t get better home cooked food for the price of $12 a plate anywhere else! I called ahead and they had the plates ready when I got there.

I drive a truck an was making a delivery up the street from Brown’s I’ve heard other driver’s talk about how good it is and I thought this is my day to get to try some BBQ. But my heart got broken I couldn’t get my 18 wheeler in the parking lot or off the road enough to run in a grab some fun.

I enjoyed eating at this place up until the year 2024. It seemed like every time I went into the establishment, I was met by somebody extremely rude, either it being the young lady who is normally at the front of the register or an older woman who is extremely rude, has a foul mouth, and does not know how to speak to customers. I have kept hope alive that the service will change. I appreciate the manager always making things right. I have not been to this establishment in a very long time due to the treatment that I get when I go, but I did decide to go today, and the older lady was in there. She was extremely rude to me like she always is. However the young lady Megan. Was professional and attentive. I really appreciate her. She needs to stay at the front. She could see that I was uneasy, and by the time I left, I actually had a smile on my face thanks to her.
I think this could be a top-notch location if they get their service under control. Starting with the older lady whose face looks like spoiled milk.
The way she acts, I’m assuming that she’s either the mother of an owner or just has been at this location for some time and can do whatever she wants to the customers, even if that means running them off.
Due to the constant unacceptable treatment at this location, I’m going to be giving them two stars.
Again, the only things that have kept me from completely dropping my business with this establishment are the Manager and Megan.
