This is by far the best Caribbean food in town. When I need to satisfy my craving, this is the spot. Highly recommend the Oxtail and their Patties. Ask for the homemade hot sauce too.

WOW!!! This is the tastiest food I have had in a long time. It has been a while since I have had Caribbean food. I am new to the area and wanted to try something different. I ordered the Goat Curry and a Beef Pattie. The food is very hot (temp) which is good cause I drove 20 mins to get there and it was plenty hot still when I got back to work. The flavor and portion size is RIGHT ON POINT. I could easily turn the dinner portion into 2 lunches. I will definitely order from Caribbean Spice again.

Super stoked for good food so close in town, friendly staff and with fast service. I had Jamaican three piece jerk chicken (lunch special) steamed cabbage black beans and rice more than enough. Coco breads and stuffed meat pockets next on the wish list.

No nonsense great Caribbean food! Authentic! I had the jerk chicken lunch. Spices were complex and flavorful – left a lingering heat in the mouth. Chicken was slow cooked and fell off the bone! Came with red beans and rice and steamed cabbage. They have eat in and takeout but very basic dining situation. Bottled drinks, styrofoam trays, and plastic forks. Also tried spicy beef patty. So awesome! Try it out sometime! You won’t be disappointed.

Nice restuarant for dining or just take out. Food was really good. I had Curried Goat and believe me it took me home. I felt so satisfied after having the meal. I just didn’t like the kind of rice used for the rice and peas. Tasted like parboiled or brown rice, wasnt sure. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. This place offers other dishes like curry chicken, brown stewed chicken, beef and vegetable patties, loafs and more. Also D&G drinks if you like as well as other refreshments.

I haven’t been to many Caribbean restaurants in Gainesville, nor do I think there are many in the first place, but their food is pretty good! I’d definitely come back for more jerk chicken and coco-bread loaves. And I’m looking forward to trying the famous vegetable patties and oxtail next time. Generous portions at a low price, staff are friendly.

The jerk chicken was delicious. I also bought beef patty and the taste was alright. I definitely will come back to try their curries and oxtail.

The Jerk chicken is incredible. It’s spicy, savory, salty and fall-off-the-bone tender. I love the cabbage and the patties too.

I’m from South Florida so my standards are pretty high. They’re definitely the best in town but I wish they offered a bit more variety like white rice, ackee and saltfish, brown stew chicken and fish, goat head soup, Etc. If you’re just looking to scratch the itch tho, you can’t do much better in Gainesville

We followed our nose and ended up eating here for lunch. What a treat it was. The owner Chris and the rest of the crew were extremely accommodating as well as inviting. This is a one off, family owned restaurant with a limited specialty menu. This is a good thing because quality, efficiency and prices suffer when there are too many items on a menu. Too many restaurants make this tragic mistake. Having an extensive culinary background myself, I believe they are doing an excellent job. We ordered the large jerk chicken plate and a beef patty. The price was very reasonable and it fed two of us well. Please note I was anxious and ate some of the chicken before I took the picture. The large comes w/two drumsticks and two thighs.
