First time coming here, food is delicious!!! I tried their yellow rice with beef steak and their passion fruit juice. Everything had a remarkable burst of flavor. Fast and generous service! Will come again!!!

Went into the restaurant while its nice the food has NO flavor. The pernil was not cooked enough, the beans were very watery and no flavor. The alcapurrias barely any meat and flavorless. Pasteles barely had any meat in them. Just in no way had the well seasoned flavor. We didnt even eat it, ended up going to waste no one wanted it. This place is always hit or miss with flavor, not consistent. The cooks need to learn not only to season their food but taste food before putting it out.

Send my girl to get food for me and my boss and the food was awful. Rice didn’t have taste. The chicken was dry as heck. My boss got arroz con gandules and pernil and he end up throwing up. Definitely don’t recommend.

The frituras I had were delicious, the soup was good, the rice was okay. Empanadillas de pizza, pollo, and carne were all good. Alcapurrias de guineo and yuca were also good. There’s a great selection of food ready and available. Wide variety of drinks. Some dessert options. There is plenty of seating inside.

A group of us came here for lunch and it was the best meal all week!
When you come in, there’s a buffet area with a selection of all the meats that they have that day (the selection changes). There are also items that are made to order.
In addition to that, you can call ahead and they will have your order ready to pick up.
We sat in the dinning area. It’s not a huge dinning area but nice and clean.
I got the mofongo with carne guisada (basically a beef stew). The beef was so tender and just fell apart and the while stew was really tasty. The mofongo itself was delicious, you can tell it was well seasoned.
And I have to say, they have very generous portion sizes. With food this good, leftovers are nice 🙂
I’ll definitely have to come back for more food and take more pictures!!!

Grew up in Meriden and loved La Perla on Cook Ave. Found out this was the same owners on my visit and had to go! Potato balls are still amazing. Great food, you have to try it if you like authentic Puerto Rican food.

So I come here as often as I can so to see someone give this restaurant a low score and say ctown better well I went to investigate so I got rice and pork and steak stew because I’m not understanding what they seeming I’m not Puerto Rican. The Rice was little hard but the steak was so tender it melted in my mouth like butter. Overall they both great places
