My 3rd time at Carribean plate – I took my friend from out of town. The food was just ok, not as good as the first 2x. Lacked authenticity I’ve come to love of Jamaican cuisine. Rice and peas lacked coconut flavor, but ok. Brown stewed snapper-also lacked seasoning – a bit over salted. Steamed veggies and cabbage were fantastic- nice and crispy and flavorful.

Best fresh smoothie in town! Just real fruit definitely hits the spot! I will be back. Thank for for being better than tropical smoothie and smoothie king.

My first visit met my expectations. I had the brown stewed chicken which was very good. I could have just used two spoon fulls more of gravy, but otherwise was great! We also had the escovitch snapper which was delish. It was a cool 40 minute drive but worth the time for the flavor!

Went here to grab a quick lunch and was really happy with my choice. I got the small jerk wings, which was hot hot like the menu says but definitely not lacking in flavor. The portion was a great size for lunch. I would have loved to have a bit more cabbage and less rice. I will be back though!

Reasonably priced and healthy portions. Recommend avoiding too many similar flavor profile food though because it does tend to get a bit salty (lots of flavors in everything). Jamaican beef patties are a must before, compliment your meal, or take home.

Do not come here if you’re looking for fast service. The staff seem like this is the last place they’d like to be and take a decade to make your food, I thought they were killing the chicken themselves back there. I got the jerk Caesar salad and they didn’t even put my tomatoes on there. At least the beef patty was good.

Just moved to area and was looking for real yaardie food. Delighted to find this place close by. And thanks for surviving Covid to stay open. Extensive menu with great “authentic sounding” choices. So many dishes looked delicious, so I ordered the sample plate. Looking at the menu, everything seems “pricey” but on arrival, was good sized portion. ALOT of rice, but a little skimpy on the curried goat & oxtails. Fair sample portions of curried chicken, brown stew & jerk chicken. What I really liked was the plantains were very nicely cooked (not burnt), and even in the take out packaging, was nicely presented. The food was good, but as I’m a Jamaican, I thought it needed more ..oomph….spice. it was nicely seasoned and it did taste nice, but rather bland. And, yes. Menu is pricey, too expensive to be a daily or even weekly choice….but to satify a craving for a taste of the islands, would definitely have some again.

Where do I start? I love this place! Been coming here for about a year and a half to get my Caribbean food fix. Usually I order to go, but today I decided to stop here for lunch because I had some time to kill. My go to meal is the Oxtail but everything I have had taste amazing. Including today’s jerk chicken club! Eating in today, I had a chance to really appreciate excellent service, the island decor, and and Caribbean music to set the tone for the meal. Another thing I really like here is the homemade ginger pineapple drink. The sweetness of the pineapple mixed with the spiciness of the ginger is a perfect mix! Check it out when you make your visit here. Overall, this is a great restaurant if you are looking for traditional island cuisine. Also for those who care, they do offer a military discount. I guess I will end where I started. I love this place!
