First time having roti at all. Got the Vegetable Roti. 1st time so delicious, pumpkin chickpea potatoes (not pictured; ate it too fast) YUMMY 2nd time spinach or callaloo potatoes chickpeas OMG YES (pictured) Tried Caribbean Grill on mlk, yesterday EWW (pictured), roti was 97% cabbage 4 peas 7 carrots and 1 stringbean from that frozen bag of mixed veggies, no flavor – no love, no care. Thank you Caribbean DISH Chef for my 2 delicious veggie roti!!

Tucked away in Landover Hills, Caribbean Dish is an absolute gem. The roti is made fresh—soft, flavorful, and hands down one of the most authentic Caribbean dishes I’ve had stateside. Every bite takes you on a trip to the islands. Kudos to the team for preserving the culture and flavor in such a soulful way. It’s worth the drive for anyone craving a true taste of the Caribbean. A community jewel, no doubt.

Will be trying again

Update: Tried this place for a second time because I was very impressed the first time.
Wasn’t too happy.
Don’t get me wrong, the food was good just not like the first experience.

True carry out experience, it’s not a sit down spot. Let’s be real, we are here for the food!

The food does not disappoint one bit. Having traveled to Trinidad and Tobago for food tourism. This is the only place in the DMV that tastes exactly like T&T. It was so damn good , and tasted fresh.
Got the Veggie Roti platter , curry chicken roti platter, and rice and peas.

Two Dhalpuri roti and ordered doubles but unfortunately they were sold out.

Came with tamarind chutney and mango aachar

The food was so good just wish it was a little spicier or there was an additional sauce.

Highly recommend this place because it is affordable, delicious, and made with love

I really wanted to like this. I even went out of my way to get there today but the food was really disappointing. I got the cabbage, vegetarian buss up, salt fish and bake. I’ll start with the good— the cabbage was delicious. It was crunchy and flavorful. The roti was light and soft and really lovely. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill. The bake was good but way too oily. The saltfish was bland but it worked with the bake.
I had to throw away the buss up. The spinach was way too salty. I tried to push through and eat it but it wasn’t possible.
Really disappointed. Maybe I’ll try again and get something different but $30 for disappointment isn’t encouraging.

This is by far the nastiest brown stew chicken I have ever tasted in my life and it caused me $15.40. I need the management to refund me my money. The rice and peas taste fermented and the whole entree trash. Not recommended.

My go-to place for good food. I enjoyed the ox tail dinner yesterday; it was excellent. So
glad that they moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago; hope they stay and possibly expand.

The “BEST” curry goat Roti ever let him put the sauce on, if you don’t want it spicy no pepper not even the “mild” just so… FYI BOMB

A relatively new arrival in the area, and definitely worth a visit! Humble storefront, takeout only, but the menu is fantastic and loaded with tasty Trinidadian specialties! Various combo options available: a meat and two sides, or two meats and two sides. Also roti and paratha dishes. I had the curry goat with rice and peas, and curry potatoes. Absolutely delicious! The so-called “doubles” (a traditional street food snack) is highly recommended: fluffy fried flatbread served with channa (spicy chickpea curry), folded kinda like a taco. The “pholourie” – fried dough balls – were also amazing: light and crispy, without being greasy; the perfect on-the-go snack. The food comes with a variety of homemade sauces, ranging from mild and sweet to hot, including one bottled variety that you can buy in-house. Go check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!
