This is a great hidden local place. The good is great. We sat in the patio and honesty didn’t get much service. We had to find our own napkins. We were short on table ware and only were asked if we were doing ok once.
The food is really good and the atmosphere is great. The tuna was awesome. Chicken tenders are great as well. The prices are very good as well. There is a full bar. Pool tables are in the back. This is a great atmosphere. I will definitely come back.

This review was from when the place was called TNT, Trudys Neighborhood Tavern. Mom and I went there today for a late lunch/early dinner. The grilled mahi sandwich on brioche bun was excellent (see my photos). It was a large piece of fish, cooked to perfection on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce tomato and onion, tarter or mayo came on the side. The fries are some of the best we have ever had, they were thick and chunky! Mom had the French dip and she loved it. It was so big she was only able to eat a third of it. We ate outside, there were a few smokers so we sat with the wind at our back. Service was great, we were waited on almost instantly, food was prepared quickly, and the portions were big. We will tell our friend and neighbors to give them a try.

New name, but the same incredible food, staff and atmosphere. I was so happy to see the menu still had our favorites. You still get great food for what you pay. And seeing the locals who have called this restaurant their go to spot for years, continue to come and hangout, just tells you its in good hands ♥️

Under new management, this place is awesome! Comfortable fun bar setting with surprisingly really great food! Plus live music and then they bingo nights with awesome prizes and they do other entertainment nights also. Honestly we have to say we love this place and it’s puppy friendly too! Definitely recommend!!!

We enjoyed our first visit to Captain’s. Service was excellent; food was good; atmosphere was a neighborhood establishment- cozy and friendly; parking is sufficient. I had the wings and they were good- a little too long in the fryer or they would’ve been excellent. There is a fine line between nice and crispy and overdone- mine were overdone but not terribly so. I’m a wing snob. We will definitely be coming back and trying more options on the menu.

We thought the food would be better since the name changed from Trudy’s Neighborhood Tavern (TNT), but it was just as bad as before. My “specialty” mushroom and Swiss burger was tasteless meat and not even a brioche or pretzel bun. My husband ordered onion rings and potatoe skins and the skins were burnt on the bottom and rings tasted like they were fried in old oil. I only gave it two stars because it is so close to where we live. This was so much better when Debbie Debow and her husband owned it.

The chili is probably the worst I’ve ever had the barbecue beef sandwich used to be on a flat bread now it’s in a hamburger roll in a charge. It’s more money kind of disappointed in the place like it when it was Trudy, as it was seemed to be better, sorry but it wasn’t very good. All the salad was wilted so it had been around for a while not as good as it was.

I’m a local & have never stopped and how I’m mad I haven’t the service was amazing the smash burger was everything 10/10 recommend and our server Gentry was AMAZING!!! And Heathers been an absolute JEWEL to this place ! Everyone needs a personality like Heather !!!
