The Original Carbone’s Pizzeria has been serving Minnesota-style Italian thin crust pizza since 1954. Located on the East Side of St. Paul at 680 7th St E, our family-owned pizza restaurant began as a small Italian grocery store and has grown into a Midwest staple with over 30 locations. Our East Side St. Paul location is right by the Metropolitan State University campus, only a few minutes drive from downtown. We serve fresh pizza made from our original family recipe, along with pasta, hoagies, and salads for the whole family to enjoy. We proudly offer dine-in, takeout, online-ordered delivery, and catering, making us a go-to spot for weeknight dinners, group orders, and events.

We Eat there a lot and over many years this is the OG of Carbones and never disappoints!! Excellent food ALL of the time, always hot and delicious!!. Salads are amazing crisp cold greens! The staff are ALWAYS friendly, professional and no matter how busy they are they treat you like you are the only customer, they are fast and make going there a pleasure! Kudos! Rock stars!! Ordered Meatball Hoagie. Was a bit small but tasty. Meatballs are homemade and have a lot of flavor. Ample dipping sauce.

I believe the price is fair for in my opinion one of the better pizza’s offered in the twin cities.

So I read good reviews about this place and also some locals told me to try them. I ordered spaghetti, 2 pizzas, a 10” meat and 10”bbq chicken pizza, 2 strawberry cheesecakes, and 2 orders of buffalo wings.
The cheesecake was not fresh but it was thawed as if it were frozen. The chicken came with a side of dip and buffalo sauce so they weren’t tossed and they had no seasoning at all, just dumped in an oven and heated up from a bag. The meat pizza should’ve been dbl crust but it was giving thin and had absolutely no taste to it. The bbq chicken pizza was actually delicious. The spaghetti had no taste, but you could tell the meatballs were homemade and they were big.
I don’t believe in wasting food so it will be eaten but it was not worth the money paid or time it took to pick it up.

Celebrated my Dad today with lunch at Carbone’s East St. Paul. He passed one year ago tomorrow & this was always our favorite spot to go to when I was a kid! Our beloved booth was gone, but overall it was like the best time capsule inside!! Food was just as delicious as I remembered. We ordered extra to have for leftovers, but we will be back!! Thanks for the amazing service & delicious food that brought back ALL the good memories for our family.

Great service every time. Love the food here. They continue to expand and improve the menu. They have cheesecake that is really good. They have a good selection of ice creams and sorbets as well. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, cheesecake with strawberries, and the chicken alfredo pasta.

If the pizza chef is happy, we’re happy. And he always is. It may not be the biggest place in the world, but I find it kinda cozy. It’s also the best tasting pizza on the east side of St.Paul. It won’t be long before I come back for more. Eat Pizza, Be Happy.

Only thing Larger than the pies is their hearts. This small franchise of mom and pop shops is the kind of local businesses that deserves every penny of it. Help them get that nasty BK accross the street out of business. Keep up the fantastic work all around! Even the new guy just getting started, take a look around. Good job that was for the fun of it.
