At our Harrisonville, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food was hot and freshly cooked. The kids working there were friendly. Pretty inexpensive for what I got. The building itself could use some updates. If you are looking for some greasy fish I would recommend.

I rarely give negative reviews, but these employees need more to work with for a successful restaurant. There were two employees to run the front counter, drive-thru, lobby and kitchen. The restaurant is very run down and unfortunately, really dirty. There is a hole around the women’s bathroom restroom knob (someone kindly stuffed a paper towel in it to keep customers in the lobby and waiting from seeing inside. The soap dispenser is so loose it’s about to fall off the wall. Much of the tile is falling off, as well. The benches are torn and taped up. Everywhere you can see looks dirty. The restaurant needs some TLC. The employees are friendly, but they need some help. I hope the owner will take this to heart.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would !!! Let’s start off with ordering my food . Not bad . She asked us if we were staying or leaving . We stayed ! BIG MISTAKE All of the tables and chairs are dirty. We asked the front counter for a rag to whipe off OUR own table and chairs !!!!! Remind you we are the first ppl there . Our food came out and the lady who brought it out . Walked up to some man trying to give him our food . We are sitting at the table that we had to clean off ourself no more then a table in between us and this man. We keep repeating to the lady that is our food . She caught and attitude rolled her eyes and stomps towards us. Remind you this happened twice. Once we get our food, it is over cooked and seems undercooked. The didn’t even give my friend the correct order. We went back to the front to change it out and the same lady with red hair (older lady) rolled her eyes and Marches to the back with an attitude. Once my friends food got replaced they gave her expired sour cream. She went up there once again! She noticed they had a container full of sour cream on the counter that was expired !!!!! Over all this is a bad location and I really felt like we got treated differently bc I am a different race then everyone else in the store.

Just went in shortly before they closed. They were working on cleaning up and we were still greeted with warm, welcoming smiles and great service. Recieved our food in good time and had a nice chat with the staff while waiting.

This place is sometimes fairly good and sometimes marginally acceptable. They have changed the fish. The pieces are smaller and the breading is not as good. The vegetables were cold and tastless. They used to be very tasty. The restaurant smells stale and looks drab. The restrooms are not clean. I doubt I will waste my money here again.

We went here for the second time recently and the first time had to wait for about a good 45 minutes to get 2 order’s of 2 peice fish and fries, the second time we didn’t bother to stay because the same order as the first time would have taken at least 2 hour’s before we’d get our order. This place is going to shit !! I don’t understand what’s so hard about dropping fish and fries into a grease pit to cook that doesn’t take that long to fry !! Get some damn help manager

$50 for mediocre food, disgusting tables and seats, non functional bathrooms, and poor service. Never coming here again, I could name a plethora of places where the food is worth $50 but this Popeyes rip-off is incredibly not worth it. Also discover a peep-hole on the women’s restroom door, so beware if you need to use that bathroom.

Most people get it to go, but I like it fresh. This place isn’t super bad, but could use some cleaning. Food is just not the same as it was. You get one slim piece of fish, the chicken used to be battered the same and its different. Not great, but not bad. Workers in back did not have hair nets on and one guy wiped his nose with his glove on and kept working. Just doesnt seem like there are any standards anymore. Just give me my money type attitude. No crumbs either. You used to get the little batter pieces.

This place is so run down and disgusting looking. Their parking lot is horrible. Waited for my food for a while and paid extra for the premium side just to not get that premium side. The 2 people I saw were friendly and corrected my order issue but as I was waiting, inside it smelled bad and did not look clean, they need an inspection done. For the price I paid food was mediocre at best. Definitely won’t be returning.
