At our Edwardsville, IL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I must say the fish game is starting to get in the toilet. This doesn’t go against the staff it actually goes against the establishment itself. When you sell a piece of fish that resembles a ruler and your prices are still the same that’s a problem. I remember in my younger days when you actually got a filet of fish. The fillets of fish now resemble an eel or dwarf pencil fish. I’m glad that they now have grilled options as far as the main entree.

Went to this location yesterday. Service and food were exceptional. We have had a few bad experiences months ago when different staff was there but decided to try it again. Was not disappointed. Food was fresh, hot and cooked very well. Person taking our order was very friendly, helpful and polite. Will definitely be back.

Nathan was so nice!!! he said my car was pretty which made me feel good because i’m working hard for this car, i had a smile on my face the whole way home. his customer service was amazing, a lot of people don’t have that great of an attitude, so for him to have that good of an attitude is amazing. I went to the store and purchased the 10-piece fish meal I asked for a 6-piece add-on the guy that rang me out was very nice I asked him to make sure he added the 7 peice he said he did I get home 20 minutes away to find only 10 pieces I call he answers tells me he’s very sorry he made the mistake he said I told you I was tired when you were here again it’s my mistake I’m sorry and took my name down and said the next time I’m up that way it would be taken care of so I didn’t have enough fish to feed my whole family so I had to go to McDonald’s and buy happy meals for the kids company eating cost me more money having to go to McDonald’s I walk in today the lady that was there the same night working with him her first words were are you here for your six-piece and I said yes she says okay hold on she goes and talks to the manager on duty who says because he forgot to ring me up for the 6 piece I would have to pay for the six piece after all the added cost oh and did I mention my fish was cold by the time I got back from McDonald’s so I’m not very happy with this place adult I wouldn’t recommend the store they need better management

Disappointed that we couldn’t eat inside the restaurant, but went through the drive thru and took it back to the hotel. Food was as good as I remembered!

Went through drive through right after opening. The lady working was all by herself and let me know when I got to the window. She was still very fast and courteous the entire time.
