At our Bedford, IN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The Bedford location is an absolute disgrace. The restaraunt is the dirtiest restaraunt I have ever been to. The floors were so dirty our shoes were sticking to them as we walked. The bathroom floor was so slippery my husband almost fell. There were no clean tables. The ice machine wasn’t working. The fries were cold and the rest of the food was not great either. Don’t even get me started on the employees. The guy working the counter looked like he hadn’t washed his hair in weeks and there was visible dirt on his hands and under his nails. Then I saw one of the employees pop out from the back and his clothes were filthy and he also looked like he hadn’t bathed in weeks. I instantly regreated my order. On top of it all we waited forever for our food. My father in laws food took over 30 minutes for 2 pieces of fish and fries. I can’t say enough bad things about this place.

It was just ok. Our food was alright but it’s definitely not my favorite. I had never been to Captain Ds before. I wasn’t impressed. I ordered salmon dinner and while the meal was alright it was a little bland but that had nothing to do with the great service, cleanliness, and overall fast food experience.

I have eaten here many times ,but this time was not so good. Fries were not fresh-medium warm and chewy. Fish was excellent, as usual- light batter and fresh. Drinks overpriced! Almost $3 for a regular sized soft drink….seriously? Had to wait till meal was almost done for my missing hushpuppy that I didn’t receive with meal.

I was very pleased with the food everything was fresh hot and priced to sell.Loved the Cajun catfish.greenbeans ,Mac & cheese and the hush puppies.Manager was helpful and friendly.

Sometimes, it’s not always about the food, it’s about the customer service. 9 times out of 10, you know what you’re getting when you go to a fast food chain, so I typically don’t leave reviews for fast food chains. However, I am leaving this review solely based on the customer service I received. Thank you, Kevin for not just doing your job, but being kind and doing it well. 5 stars!

The food at this restaurant still remains a good value for the money. The service has gotten slower than it once was. Service was never extremely fast here as they don’t tend to serve food that has been sitting for a while. Like most other restaurants, they seem to be experiencing staffing issues. My biggest disappointment on my last trip was their decision to discontinue serving diet Mountain Dew. I am a diabetic and I appreciated having the extra sugar-free option.
