At our Louisville, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went to captain D’s at 10101 dixie hwy 40272 louisville ky and it was absolutely horrible. Not only was is stale and dried up chicken but I got a 4 piece with 2 sides :fries and slaw. The main issue is i got 3 shriveled little pieces of chicken the size of my cigarette lighter and the 4th piece wasn’t even half that size. I saw as I exited they had a “C” grade from health dept. Which is even more disgusting as I know what it takes to get that bad score. Both hush puppies are hard as a rock and the fries feel like they were made hours ago. This is 100% the worst and most disgusting place I have ever gotten food from. They should ve ashamed of themselves. Can’t even call them because phone is either disconnected or off the hook (I’m sure from getting complaints) I’m at a loss for words while trying to come up with even one slight good thing to say about this experience. DO BETTER AND PLEASE FIX THIS FOR ME AND EVERY OTHER PATRON IN THIS AREA. Is this really a $12 meal pictured below? I say NO

We stopped here for a late afternoon lunch/early dinner. We have been here many times. My step son lives not too far from here and we stopped here bc we had quite a bit of driving to do after dropping him off. We ordered 2 fish and shrimp meal deals and an order of fried pickles. Let’s start with the fried pickles. They were mushy and underdone. And had absolutely no flavor. Aside from the pickles themselves. When we got to the main meals, to say we were disappointed was an understatement. The fries were old and hard and not hot at all. The fish was mushy so that leads me to believe it was undercooked. Same with the shrimp. The hush puppies were also old and cold. Our total was $15.87. So it’s not going to make or break us, and if your plan is to give us a coupon to use at that location, you can keep it. We will not be returning.

I ordered 2 fish sandwiches which I have done multiple times and they are usually great. Both sandwiches had to be thrown away. The buns were hard as a rock and the fish was so old and hard it was inedible. Yiu couldn’t even see the tarter sauce on them. It had soaked into the bread. They appeared to be at least 2 days old.

The manager on shift tonight felt subpar to me. She didn’t accept leadership responsibility and found every way to blame it on the younger help. Who actually were the nicest and most patient. The manager was in the back cooking the food and it was the most ridiculous looking for the prices I paid. I’ll never go back even my 6 pack of hush puppies were raw in the middle.

I paid $22 for food. I got 4 pieces of catfish and they were so small it looked like just 1 piece of fish and they barely gave me fries. I also got the big fish sandwich and it was made very very sloppy. I’m very disappointed with my food because I love captain Ds and I have NEVER had this problem before. I tried talking to the lady at the window but she handed me my food and closed the window. She didn’t speak of anything just put my food out the window. I sat there for a while saying excuse me to speak with her about my and she just looked at me. She never opened the window to see what I needed help with. Oh and my catfish was soggy.

Waited outside the restaurant till it said completed on the app. Went in a young girl at the register asked me what I needed told her picking up a app order for Melanie. She rilled her eyes and made smirk turned around to get my order. Grabs 3 bags sitting on the counter says here’s your order its all there. Told her I had to check it to make sure. Take my bags to a table go through all 3. Only has 5 of the 7 meals I ordered. Go back to the register girl in drive thru asks is something missing. I said yes two of my meals, a 2pc and a 3 PC. She says ok. The cook starts yelling at me we are busy. I’m like OK. I say the girl asked me what I was missing. Well like I said we are busy screaming at me. So I wait the girl at the register asks what is missing I tell her. She tells the cook. I wait more time as I wait another person comes up to me from a door in the kitchen he says mam im going to need you to stop yelling at me workers. I’m like what are you talking about your cook was yelling at me. I haven’t yelled at no one. Mam stop yelling. Sir I am not yelling. Well I cant help you. You won’t stop yelling. I’m like what im talking not yelling! He goes in the door. Now mind you im not yelling not at all. Then about a minute later an old lady comes out the kitchen door. She says what are you missing. Now this has been going on atleast 15 minutes. I never left the store took all 3 bags to a table they saw me the whole time. I tell her the 3 PC meal with 2 broccoli and the 2pc meal with green beans and fries. She says I made those myself i know they ate there. I tell her well I dont know what happen to them if they were giving to someone else but I was giving 3 bags with 5meals and the extra stuff we ordered but not the 2 meals missing. I tell her she can look at it all herself! Its on the table and I never left the store. So she goes looks. She cant find the meals either. So she goes in to the kitchen. I wait atleast 5 minutes. People come in and leave with there food a couple who was just at the register start looking at me whispering and laughing after talking with the girl at the register. F8nally the girl in drive thru comes hands me a bag. Tells me she’s sorry. I’m like look your the only one who tried to help me. Thank you. I’m throwing this food away. I know they messed with it but I paid for it so I waited on it. You know I was not mean nor did I yell. She said yeah I know im sorry. I left. However I will never be back to this store with how these workers were. I threw my food away. Your whole staff was the worst employees ive ever seen nor have I ever been treated like that in my life. I have worked in fast food and sit down restaurants. I would not treat anybody that bad!

Confirmed order 5:37 was told to pick up at 5:47 I received order 6:05 after asking twice. The serving time I asked the cashier she said I don’t know. I then asked for my money back, I’ve waited long enough, another lady can’t from the back to tell me they were making my food at that time. Terrible customer service. Supreme seafood platter.

I sent my girlfriend to get dinner here last night. She said the cashier was rude and unprofessional. I ordered fish and shrimp but substituted country style. The shrimp was fine but the fish was 2 tiny slivers and way over cooked. I’ll not return to this store
