At our Bardstown, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite Captain D’s. The food is hot and delicious, and the portions are generous. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant is kept clean (unlike others I’ve visited). Although I live in Louisville, I’ll drive to Bardstown any day for the best! Highly recommended!

The food and service here was great. They also keep everything very clean. It was bright and open. We sat by the windows and it was a sunny ☀️ day, but nice and cool inside. I had the catfish and it was very tasty. I love their hush puppies, they are very crispy and have onions in them.

Captain D’s??? More like Captain A’s!!! It must be a special lard or something…this place is great! Way better than the B-Town long John’s- that place is gross. BTW, I met Corey (one of the owners) and he was different but sooo nice! All around great experience with the Captain!!! Aye aye Captain!

Just went through drive through. Ordered 2piece classic fish with Hush Puppies & Fries. 3pm in afternoon, $8.87 Fish dripping with grease & soggy. Greasy cold hush puppies, cold old fries. It’s so bad I cannot eat it. Do you not realize how hard people work for their money, and when they order from you they expect to get food that they can eat? It’s robbery that’s what it is. Never ever again. Never!! Does not deserve 1 star, but I had no choice. They should shut it down, because the food is unacceptable.

They kept my credit card barely apologize for it I had to drive back from Springfield Kentucky back to Bardstown to pick up my debit card never asked for any conversation or can we give you a free drink can we give you a free dessert nothing. Food was mediocre.

Very good experience tonight. My family and I went inside to eat. As soon as we walked in the door the young girl at the counter greeted us and took our order. The food was out to our table within 5 min. The food was excellent and the dining room was very clean. Will visit again soon

Their app socks! It charged my card 3 times for a meal I never got! Then they told me if I wanted the charge removed from my card and my money put back that I had to contact Google. NEVER again!
