At our Montgomery, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Chicken had a weird seasoning. Did not eat. Okra was very good. Almost like homemade. Fish was good. When at the counter, I was discussing with my husband that I didn’t want a big meal. I ordered the 2 piece chicken and 2 piece fish meal. After we paid, I noticed a sign for special meals – one meal was a meal with 1 piece of fish and 1 piece of chicken. The girl at the counter never mentioned these special smaller meals even though she listened to our discussion. We were the only customers in the store, and she was standing 2 feet away from us. Very disappointing.

First time in looooooooooong time, you’re greeted by friendly staff from quick service restaurants who’re eager to serve you. Food was great, not greasy. Of course, Cap D is much better than other sea food establishments. Two thumbs up for all the staff in this location.

Was at Walmart and seen Captain D’s .. it’s lunch time so I dropped in .. the place was busy Ms Shirley only had 1prrskn in the kitchen but the dynamic duo met the lunch crowd and with full steam ahead .. the service she provided was far above excellent . She is a great manager. Multi tasking ..on the drive thru..working the counter and serving the dining room..

The staff that was working on Wednesday, 5/17/23, at 1:00pm did a fantastic job. The staff in the kitchen was getting food out fast and fresh. The lady working the front is one of the hardest working people I’ve met. She was running the front and drive thru! She always has such a great attitude. I hate she has to work both positions but she does it with such great poise and happiness. We need more people like her in this world. Hopefully corporate will see this and get her some help or give her some well deserved compensation.

Each visit to this location was satisfactory but this time was not..the crunchy flavorful delicious fish is 4 ..but the sides..trash..mushy rice not flavor..Like microwave rice..fries were fries lol..I pulled out popeyes drive thru for Captain D’s..smh..I would recommend only for the fish and customer service.
