At our Acworth, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Delicious! I was very impressed. I have not been here in quite some time, decided to try it tonight. Went through the drive thru and brought it home to eat. Very personable person working the window. I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and hot the food was. I ordered lemon pepper whitefish and shrimp on rice, broccoli, a baked potato, and hush puppies. Everything was so good. Cooked just right, not over cooked, very tasty. To whomever made my dinner tonight… I really appreciate it and enjoyed every bite. Thank you!

Why in the world would you hve to wait 40 mins for just two combos? This is ridiculous! Managing partners should definitely step in nd step up this isn’t customer friendly at all! Do BETTER !!! Came back to add : food was as described down through the comments bread was old or stale green beans no flavor at all.. corn in gon hard questionable color chicken tenders were breaded in awful breading tasted very stale as well ! Fish was ok could’ve cooked longer shrimp was good . Yall wouldn’t Dare serve this low quality of food to a serve save inspector much less at this long wait of time! If you did it would definitely and will be a FAIL !!! You’re Already Failing Your Customers!!! DO BETTER!!!

Service has become better at this location. ( Update ) 2/28/2023 I went to get carry out tonight and had to wait almost 40 mins to order and receive my food. I stood waiting for my food as other’s were doing , holding my number , waiting. When I became annoyed at having to wait almost 30 mins after I ordered, the cashier ( A foreign male ) says ” Would you please sit down Ma’am ” , when I refused ( due to having back pain, standing helps me ) he explained the food is made to order and not cooked ahead of time, that I should be patient. So I sat on the sofa and waited another 10 mins, I stood to look in the kitchen area and our food was just sitting in the window while he waited on customer after customer. Finally though our meal came, he bagged it, and handed it to me. When I got home and opened our boxes the food was not right. I had ordered a loaded potato and got one dry. The bread was old and chewy. The shrimp and baked fish was half burned, there was no taste at all to my fish and shrimp, other than a burned taste. My friends plate was also stale and chewy, broccoli was cold. I tasted his hush puppies and they too were stale
This will be my last time to go to this place! They lack consistency, they lack customer service, and the food quality has declined terribly, and the staff is just not friendly nor knowledgeable. The man that waited on me didn’t even know how to ring the order up and had to ask for help from the window cashier.
Today 3/1/2023 we are both suffering from food poisoning and this was our only meal besides a bowl of cereal for breakfast yesterday

Old, oily, sad fish sticks. Old, sour coleslaw. What happened to this location?!!! It used to be the best one around.
I’ve been getting fantastic, fresh delicious fish and sides from here since it opened. But tonight was absolutely inedible. I’ve seen frozen fish sticks that looked and tasted better. Change your oil, Cap! And get some fresher fish and slaw! That’s the second time the slaw has been old and sour tasting.
I tossed the whole thing in the garbage and made a sandwich for dinner. The rest of my fam ate some of theirs, but I bet they’re gonna regret it later. Please go back to making great food, Cap!

I wanted salmon, but they were out. I ordered the grilled white fish. The rice was really salty. The broccoli had no flavor and the mac and cheese is really not too good. The bread stick was good. The fish was slightly overcooked. I guess it’s okay for fast food, but I’m not running back.

Philadelphia and I decided to stop in to try the fish and shrimp, my two sides were broccoli and green beans. My green beans had hair in them and the shrimp tasted old. This fish was a little hard. My experience was terrible definitely not returning.

The guy behind the counter wasn’t very friendly. I ordered clam straps, fries and macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese came had few macaroni noodles and was swimming in cheese (photo attached). They had no forks, only soup spoons and forks. They checked in the back but still no forks. There is a management problem at this location. I won’t be back. I know it’s fast food but with the increase in pricing I expect at least what it has been in the past.
