Social Profile:

At our Marietta, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I don’t normally write reviews for fast food restaurants, but one is warranted here. I’ve eaten at Captain D’s restaurants going back to the 70s and witnessed their decline in many ways, But at this location, they get it all right. Food is always made to order and is very good. I don’t eat tilapia, but currently they have fried flounder, which is hand breaded, and delicious. Breadsticks and broccoli we’re both very good as well. Sweet tea was fresh and sweet with a real tea flavor unlike the sugar water you get at a lot of restaurants. The restaurant is so clean you could practically eat off the floor. Keep up the good work.

Nicer than any Captain D’s I’ve ever been to. Very clean, friendly staff. I got the giant fish sandwich today and a side of butterfly shrimp . Their fish is really good. Everything else on their menu is just ok. But the broiled cajun catfish is my favorite.

This location is hidden just across the street from The Walker School. Before Algood. Same side as Bojangles. The food was cooked to order, so the fish and okra, was hot and fresh. Service was great! Friendly folks!

I want the owners to recognize the gals working tonight. They work very hard. They’re very sweet and kind and amazing to their customers and also to the business. There’s some of the best people and Employees other people if you all want to do anything for anybody definitely do it for these two they deserve it. I definitely support this business and have encourage others to do so when I encourage you all to support this business.

I do love fried fish and this chain delivers the flavors and serving sizes I want paired with steamed vegetables, slaw or a perfectly baked potato. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars…this location does not serve their fish on a bed of crispy drops of fried batter that other locations do.

RIP OFF! $12 for 3 little fish strips and a cole slaw (including 0.29 for a cup of water). It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten at a Captain D’s. Fish used to be twice the size which means they have gone up over 100% on their prices. While the food tastes good, there’s little value now. I won’t be back.

The batter fried fish is always hot and crispy. The sides are always very tasty. Great food and great service. This is a good place to eat and I always enjoy my meal.

They gave me fish that was undercooked ! Waited in line for 15 minutes, just to get uncooked fish. I knew it was off when i bit into it, and sure enough all pieces looked the same inside.

I order here because I love fried fish, but the experience is always less than ideal. You will wait at least 15 minutes for your order, so be prepared. I ordered a fish meal and I asked immediately to change my side to okra. The cashier said she couldn’t change it because she wasn’t a manager. I offered to pay the difference out of pocket and when I received my food it was missing the okra. I had to wait another 5 minutes for that to cook.

This place is tucked away between Tip Top Donuts and Bojangles. As the fish is cooked fresh to order rather than cooked earlier and sitting in a warmer, you should not expect this to be “fast food“. The result is great fried fish, it has been cooked perfectly both times I visited. The Fish and Fries combo is perfect for lunch. The sides (hush puppies, fries, coleslaw ) are also just to be as expected for a Captain D’s. If you order via the mobile app, it will limit you to three condiments. Ask at the counter and you may get more, depending on who’s working.
