At our Marietta, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Nicer than any Captain D’s I’ve ever been to. Very clean, friendly staff. I got the giant fish sandwich today and a side of butterfly shrimp . Their fish is really good. Everything else on their menu is just ok. But the broiled cajun catfish is my favorite.

Client service at the window was great. The wait time with only 2 cars ahead of us was pretty long. We ordered the 3PC catfish dinner. Everyone fish was super, super small, the fish wasn’t hot and cooked extremely hard. Fried okra tasted old. The hush puppies are huge. I only enjoyed the fries since it was hot.

I was in the area and was looking for some seafood. They had a variety of options so I ordered the grilled white fish. However, my order seemed undercooked and I asked to speak with the manager. I met the manager, Shema, who was very nice and accommodating. She saw the issue with my order and was quick to rectify it and my grilled fish was delicious. Great experience with Shema overall! Would recommend.

I agree. The first review was a little unfair. I love Captain D’s and I really enjoyed my food. I had the 3 pc batter-dipped fish meal, with baked potato and cole slaw and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was crispy, goodness. The baked potato was perfectly cooked and on point. The cole slaw was yummy and the hush puppies were melt-in-your-mouth.

Came thru drive thru ,the wait was acceptable,and I actually prefer to wait knowing it is fresh. Food was good and I must say the sweet tea was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The food we couldn’t eat it, it was that bad. Even the hush puppies were horrible. The cook did not know how to cook . It was a new opening. We wont go back!!

Walked to the restaurant since I was in the area. Walked past 3 employees and was able to go inside and stand at the register. After about waiting for one minute, an employee asks if I’m there for an interview. I told her no, that I wanted to order. It’s apparently DT only even though the doors are open and I don’t recall seeing any signage stating it was DT only. Covid is over, open the doors! A lot of consumers in this area walk or park their large trucks and walk, so you’ll also lose business! Really wanted some jalapeños poppers and stuffed crab shells!
