At our Decatur, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

It’s cool its newly opened I was just the only customer the manager was nice she was trying new employee. I wasn’t exactly thrilled about the food quality however. Just not what it used to be I guess. The fish was like strips the cole slaw was not giving cole slaw it was just wet cabbage. The okra was nice but they only gave me thirteen of them. The portions are for children or seniors. The prices are for various with money to waste.

I went around 7pm on a Friday night. Drive thru was backed up to the entrance. I ordered 2 $5.99 fish and fries for my children. It took 30 minutes. Staff were very helpful and polite

I was in the mood for this but what I got was garbage!! Frys look like they’ve been sitting up for hours. The rest of the food tasted like it was cooked in old grease or has been sitting for awhile. I called the restaurant because I’m tired of taking a loss on food and the manager was very rude on the phone. But I was told I could bring my receipt and the food back.. got up there and the doors were locked and I had to wait in the drive thru for over 10 minutes! I won’t be back..

The black lady with the glasses that took my mom’s order was quite rude. My mom asked her to repeat the order because she wanted to make sure if she heard her. She replied to my mom in a rude way. We got to the drive thru and my mom asked her why was she mean she completely ignored her. This was earlier.

22 minutes in the drive thru! Very slow workers. but that’s not the chief complaint! the chief complaint is that I ordered the seafood feast which was supposed to come with Stuffed crab butterfly shrimp, fish, hush puppies and two large sides. I got 12 fish 12 hush puppies no shrimp, no crab but I did get two large sides. second major complaint is that six of the hush puppies look like they had a bite taken out of them. please see my pictures. I am thoroughly unhappy and paid 29.99 for the seafood feast for a pack of fish and hush puppies and I do not live that close so I was not driving back. Disgusted!!

Painfully slow drive-thru! I love that they remodeled the place, but something is off. The last 3 times I came here, I waited 20 minutes in line. Maybe they cook fresh to order, but it shouldn’t take so long. Two days ago there was one cars in line. When I got to the speaker, she said “I’ll be with you in a moment”. Five minutes later, I just said never mind and drove off. Not to mention they currently have a freezer truck in the back parking lot. That’s a little concerning.

I haven’t been to this location in a while. The line was long as expected but it was moving. I had to wait as expected, but the cashier was very kind. She kept me informed and assured me that the food would be hot. She did a great job with the amount of cars that were coming through the drivethru. The food was indeed hot and it was delicious.
