We are a small quick bite restaurant that is owned and ran by two sister in-laws that joke about being old and fat and only having one speed. What we want is for our customers to bring the kiddos in and enjoy the food and maybe play some games while you wait. We love meeting new people and making new friends that want to come back year after year.

Amazing fabulous food! Wow, we had the awesome chowder, the heavenly chowder fries my son raves about them. The cod and fries, fabulous, giant cod pieces and the fries… let me say, I’m a fry snob… rarely do I mention fries because I eat 2-3 and I’m done with them. These were AWESOME fries! Oh, and to top it off, the coleslaw was the best coleslaw I think I’ve ever had in my life! AND the sister running the show is delightful to chat with! It doesn’t get better!

The chowder was amazing and very reasonably priced. I can’t remember exactly but a 16 oz bowl was only about $9 which was so nice since I have seen other places charging like $15 or more.
The service was great and I enjoying being able to play some board games while we waited which didn’t even take long at all.

Got the potateo chowder bowl. It was a great. And the portion size was perfect. I got mine to go. So I wasn’t able to eat it hot and fresh.

Yaaaaaas momma Melissa. Give me your fish and chowder please. So delicious. Very homemade chowder served out of a big pot on the stove. The biggest, flakiest piece of fried halibut. A must try for any fish lover.

Excellent fish and chips and thick chowder! Halibut was fried perfectly, not overcooked. Not as greasy as most fish and chips we’ve had. They saw my wife and I intended to share, so they split the order onto two plates. Would he ghly recommend for lunch on at Long Beach.

This is not your typical classy restaurant, this is your old school mom and pa’s restaurant. What stood out to me is the place wasnt very big but when we arrived EVERY seat and table was packed, the food and service all from ONE single person was amazing! The woman cooking is very friendly as well and made us feel more than welcome! The portions of food are out of this world too!! The size of fish you get with your meals was at least an inch thick and was as long as the whole plate! The clam chowder is very good too! I personally will stop by here to get clam chowder and visit with the wonderful lady who does everything by herself! For what this place is its absolutely 5 star. The service was great, the place was packed and everyone was fed and happy, the food was great and the portion sizes for the price are absolutely worth it!

There’s not enough stars in the sky that would allow me to give Captain Bobs Chowder Sisters an accurate review. Everything was phenomenal. The atmosphere is perfection. We enjoyed playing card games in a cozy dining room and chatting with the owners. While working on our coffees we saw the food being cooked right in front of us. Glorious! The fish was fried to perfection, the crab roll was extremely fresh, and the chowder fries… oh my. This place is a must, we have not stopped smiling since we stepped in. Love, Carl & Elizabeth

Nice place to grab some great fish & chips. The Cod was huge and flaky. The batter was a home style batter that was not like any I have had – It was great! The coleslaw was homemade and the best I have had. The chowder was fantastic as well. The staff were very friendly!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Upon entry into this little establishment lady who was standing right in front of us didn’t even acknowledge our existence. We must have inconvenienced her time of cleaning napkin holders. 3 tables inside cash register and a kitchen all in the same room. We opted to eat there yes and ate outside as it was a pretty day. Ordered their version of clam chowder; my version of potato soup. NOT one clam was in my 8 oz bowl. Yes I said not one!! Shrimp cocktail was a very large portion due to the amount of lettuce that made it look large. Sister ordered the combo cod chowder fries. Again chowder was potato soup. Her saving grace was removing the 2” thick panko breading off her cod and adding the cod to her potato soup. The fries literally dripping with oil couldn’t eat those. So for $40+ and their version of “clam chowder “ I could save $35 and just buy a can of soup.

I actually forgot to mention the first bite was like tasting roux gritty flour mixed in grease not cooked down enough so much for your claim to be gluten free if you are your definitely using something else and obviously it needs improvement. The fries I also see never got better. There were no clams at all. The extra shrimp? Are you serious? If that was extra shrimp I can’t imagine what the actual portion would be. Too bad we paid cash but I doubt with your attitude you would had refunded our money anyways. You should be ashamed of yourself coming on here with such a rude attitude and rebuttal that you can’t back it up your review history speaks for itself

This place is a little hidden gem. You may only find one or two ladies working but they make time to talk with every person in the room while hand breading the fish with meticulous care.
A bloke I spoke to said he travels over 180 miles just to get a pint of chowder and I understand why. Chunks of clam as big as the potato. We stopped in twice over the weekend and my 4 year old devoured the calamari.
They also have games to keep you entertained while you wait for the delicious food.
