We enjoyed our first starfish grill experience! We got the seafood macaroni (3 cheeses and 3 varieties of fish), very fresh garden salad (with delicious homemade ranch), and the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. We also appreciated the clean environment and fun oceanic designs. Eric is very kind and clearly knows how to manage a top kitchen! We’re hoping to be back soon.

We love this place—have been here twice in the short time we’ve lived in the area and everything is delicious. The staff is friendly the service is quick, the prices are affordable and the food is delicious. First time having fish tacos and they were awesome! Fried shrimp is perfect and the seafood Mac and cheese is indulgent.

Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday around 2 pm and tried their appetizer Bacon Wrapped Scallops (just ok, as scallops were a little overdone and chewy), then a Seafood Basket (3 choices for $19 +$3 for crabcakes). I chose two crab cakes and fried shrimp with house made chips (served with ranch dressing), 2 hush puppies and coleslaw. Hubs had the Pick 3 Seafood Basket (not pictured) with fried white fish, fried catfish and a crab cake.

My mom and I both enjoyed the grilled catfish (on menu as white fish), mashed potatoes and side salad. While the menu didn’t have any explicit gluten free options, these items worked out for us as we didn’t have any reaction.

Best seafood in the world. You can have it prepared in a variety of ways. Much of it is local, all of it is delicious. The owners and staff are welcoming and bend over backwards to please their customers. I am a regular customer because it is dependably excellent and reasonably priced, making it very family friendly. Try it and you will become a regular, too!

While we were vacationing at Atlantic Beach, our usual seafood restaurant was closed. We pulled out the GPS and chose the Starfish Grill as our destination. We were a bit apprehensive as we pulled up the restaurant located in a strip mall, but appearances can be deceiving. The inside the restaurant was very clean with a casual coastal theme décor. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The prices were very reasonable and when the food arrived, it was delicious! In fact, it was by far the best meals we all had during our vacation! We also had the opportunity to converse with the owner. She was very friendly and hospitable. We had a wonderful dining experience and now the Starfish Grill is where we will dine when we vacation at the beach!

I had an amazing experience at Star Fish Grill in Newport, NC! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The menu had a great selection of seafood dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The grouper was especially delicious, and the crab cakes were some of the best I’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was also very clean, and we felt comfortable dining there. Overall, I would highly recommend Star Fish Grill to anyone looking for a great seafood dining experience. Five stars!
