I used to go to Capital Tacos years ago, and loved it. After they closed the location closest to my house and I read a few less than great reviews, I just didn’t go out of my way to get here. A friend suggested we meet there for dinner tonight. I had a Federale taco and chips and queso and it was exactly like I remembered. Very good. They don’t have a menu displayed like before with the descriptions, and nothing printed out in the store either, so look at the menu/descriptions on their website. One thing was different than before is that previous Captial Taco customer service never stood out, tonight it did. James was amazing! I’m old, so customer service is still important to me! With so many choices, I think great employees make a difference in my choice of where to eat. James stood out, but Evelyn and Liz were also friendly. We will definitely be back. Good job, Capital Tacos!!!

Capital tacos has been one of my favorites for many years. Unfortunately this experience was not up to standard. My friend did a pick up order on 12/21. First, we requested sauces on the side for the tacos and that was not done. The tacos themselves were hard and dry and some of the meat was extremely overcooked and not edible. Second, my friend ordered corn and she did not receive the corn with the order nor a receipt. As we ate the queso we noticed a staple in it. Very disappointed with capital tacos. My friend emailed the restaurant and still no response as of 12/27.

The atmosphere clean and nice, the service friendly. The food absolutely booty. Dined in and the food was absolutely cold. How does one even achieve that beats me. And this was a first time experience too. Definitely not coming back here. Overall two stars for at least being clean and friendly. But the food needs some help.

Went back here after not going for a few years. My honest take.
They changed the layout slightly. It’s not dine in friendly and they made it obvious. You might have 3-4 parties in there at once, only 1 party inside. They removed the fountain machine so they’re clearly pushing to go to get your money and push you out. I’m not driving 12 miles for takeout.
The food was great honestly, the bang bang shrimp tacos were crispy and fresh. But 2 tacos and a side of small queso and chips was almost $20.
The staff was a little cold, but not rude. Service time was okay as well.
If $6+ single tacos are your thing go for it. I probably won’t go back on my own. For those prices I should be having an experience and not have pricey tacos shoved in a box for them to get cold on the 30 min drive back. Also, the place feels unfinished, like they kinda gave up during the remodel. I had been recommending this place for years, I can’t anymore.

The food is absolutely trash. Idk what taco spot that doesnt have steak tacos. Even Taco Bell has steak so I got ground beef that tasted like nothing but the pan it was cooked in. Worse taco spot ever.

The good here is amazing! 10/10! Husband LOVES the steak quesadillas. The garlic mayo that it comes with is SOOOO GOOD! I get the ace high carnitas tacos and love them every time. Never disappoints.
The space is a little grungy. I wish we could sit with the kids to eat but outdoors is hit or miss with the weather and cleanliness and indoors isn’t really for dine in.

Pictures absolutely will not do this place justice. Came in today for lunch with a deep hankering for some good tacos and this hit the SPOT. Tacos were absolutely amazing and the girl at the counter (I forgot to ask her name) was sooooo incredibly friendly, especially with my four year old who tagged along. Food was delicious and came out quickly. We live about an hour away but this place was well worth the drive and I will 100% be back.

We picked up an order. Two of the tacos were the steak. They were awful. There was literally only two pieces of steak on them. Small pieces! One of them had so much sauce on it you couldn’t taste anything but the sauce and they were a soggy mess. They both went in the trash.

This place was once a crown jewel of Pasco County. 2016 & 2017 was the top. Then they started to try and be a franchise, gutted their menu, removed some of the freshest ingredients and even their flagship menu items like the Austinite. Prices went up, service got worse, and it got to the point where nobody in our family wanted to go anymore. It is truly a sad thing to know that this restaurant was at the pinnacle of greatness only to fall down into the dust. The pictures in the latest reviews are appalling. I hope that someone revives the heart of this brand because this was genuinely my #1 restaurant at one point, but that was nearly a decade ago that they earned such a title from us.

Love the food-but the place is dirty! Staff is not friendly. Came on Memorial Day and had 2 tacos, 1 chicken fajita burrito, the chips and queso (which has to be by far the best ever) and a drink. $33.00. Food is great. Wish the owners/managers would keep a better eye on cleanliness. Not sure if this location is mainly take out, but we dined in and our food was put in a paper bag. Area around soft drink station and silverware/napkins was very dirty.
