This is an excellent liquor store. Not only for its wide selection of local bourbon and other spirits, but also the fact that it is an inside consumption business. The knowledge staff can guide you to a selection, and even give you a sample of many of the items. The bar is very nice and welcoming and there is a comfortable seating area for a more private “get together.” Unfortunately no snack are available, but stop in for a relaxing drink, and/or take a bottle home.

Capital Cellars is one of my favorite spots in Frankfort! The new owners are making some amazing changes and the place just keeps getting better! Great selection of wine and bourbon, with a friendly staff there to answer any questions. Definitely check this spot out if you’re in the area!!

On an impromptu trip to Frankfort, we ended up in downtown and at this cute little cellar. Now, I was expecting a little wine shop with a few options. I walked in to a variety of wines from all over the world. And, you could also sit and have a drink at this space! Even better. There were wine and beer options. We had a beer and what was even better was hanging out with the employee working the store and chatting with her. It was so much fun. She had so many stories and recommendations for food in Frankfort. It made me want to come back on an evening where they are having a tasting to just enjoy the ambiance of this location. What a great find!

One of my favorite things about Capital Cellars is being able to build your own flight. I like to come here and receive guidance on trying rare spirits I will never find anywhere else. An extra bonus is being able to also choose how heavy or light I want my wallet to be after the flight.

Rarely do I find a good glass of wine when I’m on the road, and even rarer do I find a friend. I found both at Capital Cellars- Anna behind the bar knew the perfect wine and the patrons were warm and welcoming. What a charming place. Can’t wait to visit again!

Super cool place. The owner is so nice and we felt welcomed from start to finish! Came on the coldest, snowiest day of the year to an open wine bar! Amazing!

Free wine tastings on Tuesdays (and maybe Thursdays?) Bring cash to tip the server. A lot of choices for a small place, and not as pricey as one would expect. I got a $15 bottle of wine I liked from the tasting. Locals love this place. I believe they still have a kitchen that serves food certain hours as well.
