Sterba provided us with excellent service, she frequently checked on us with a big smile. The salmon was actually good.

I bought a charcuterie board to eat on the plane. I ate a couple of pieces of a meat that looked and tasted like bologna and one piece of cheese, threw out the rest. This was the worst meal I have ever gotten. The price was ridiculous, $19.95. I really wish that when she told me the total, I would have just said cancel it. Unfortunately, I was running out of time, couldn’t go anywhere else.

This little cafe located at the Portland Airport was conveniently located at the second floor by the gates so we can make use of time for fun and eat while waiting for flights. The food we found were laid out in boxes and cleanly labeled with names.

I placed an order at 5:50am on 9/19/19 and paid for a Chicken Cesar Salad, #7 Bagels and Lox, and a Breakfast Scone plus a bottle of water. The cashier was very nice, personable. After waiting between 10 and 15 minutes and seeing everyone after me receiving their orders I asked the cashier about the order. She asked someone else, who asked someone in the kitchen area. I heard the kitchen person’s response, which was “I didn’t see any lox downstairs.” So the kitchen just left the order pending because they didn’t have lox, but apparently they weren’t going to mention it to whoever was in charge. I asked for a refund because my flight was boarding, and asked the person in charge to comp me the salad. She said no, only the Bagels and Lox. I left unhappy. On the plane I discovered they hadn’t put the scone in the bag either, so all we had to eat was the salad. Here are some pics of the old lettuce we found when digging down under the top layer. Nice, what a great meal. Thanks a lot Capers. They get two stars because the staff was friendly.

Was here for an early morning breakfast. I ordered the special for the day. It was omelette with kielbasa sausage with potatoes and grilled sourdough. The food was fine, the portion was decent. Used priority pass credit for payment which was convenient. I also got like an extra side of two sunny side up eggs and a tea drink and it came out close to the $28 limit. So it was a decent deal for an airport meal. Friendly staff and fast service. Will eat here again when in PDX airport.

Got the Farmers Breakfast with eggs (any style), choice of sausage or bacon, potatoes, and toast. It was delicious and just what I needed before going to my gate (C Gate). Service from the waitress and cashier was very warm and friendly. Plenty of seating, but it was around 6:30 am. Food arrived very quickly, so there was no worries about making it to my gate. Would definitely recommend if you have the time.

Decided to have breakfast before our flight. Ordered a breakfast burrito with no cheese and told I couldn’t do that because they’re pre made. Fine… I got a bagel sandwich with an over medium egg and no cheese. Friends ordered some scrambled eggs a meat and some potatoes. My food came and the egg was still completely raw. I mean like it was cracked and put on the bagel. The waitress couldn’t even believe how undercooked it was Our friend’s potatoes were very undercooked and their eggs were runny as well. I sent my food back and didn’t even wanna attempt to try anything else. I understand this is an airport food establishment, but at least make an effort. The prices alone should’ve made me just keep walking. Horrible experience.

I’ve passed by Capers Café many times while passing thru PDX and last Friday I finally had time to stop in for a late breakfast. My main consensus – not bad for airport food! In fact, I loved it!
