Cantina Mex has a cool atmosphere and fun vibe. Service was a little slow during my visit, and the food was just okay — nothing bad, just average with the exception of the Nachos which were very good; it’s a nice spot if you’re looking for a casual hangout. The All You Can Eat Tacos were only served 2 at a time, so our group was only served a total of 4 each and 2 more to take home (and they could definitely eat more than 4 tacos) I ordered the enchilada and while the server was very clear to tell/warn me that the dish came with marinara sauce instead of salsa, I ordered it anyway, but I couldn’t finish it because the enchilada w/marinara didn’t taste that great for me. For dessert we had the tres leches and it was quite dry but ok to eat.

Cantina Tex Mex Tequila Bar is a great spot for Tex-Mex with a fun, upbeat atmosphere. The chips and salsa came out quickly, and the flavors were on point—fresh, well-seasoned, and not overly heavy. My entrée was hot and filling, and the portions felt worth the price. The tequila and cocktail selection is a big plus, and the drinks were balanced and well-made. Service was friendly and attentive even when it was busy. Overall, a solid place for dinner and drinks with friends.

The restaurant is very dark inside. We had to eat upstairs, and the black-painted steps and garland on rails made it difficult to hold onto the rail, so walking down we used one of the table lamps to light our way down. The restaurant is not very ADA compliant. Had to change one of our orders since they did not have any plablonos. Overall, the waitress was awesome and very attentive, food was great tasting, and so much, and great margaritas, which was $8 for 6 oz. Rate it 4 $$ for food, $$$ for cocktails. Again, the waitress made it a great birthday evening.

My server was KJ and she was such a kind bartender. Very sweet and polite, made the atmosphere fun and comfortable. She made us fun drinks since there was no lemonade, honestly better than regular lemonade. Whole place was beautiful and clean. Food was amazing. Definitely will come again.

Atmosphere and Service: Exceptional
The overall experience in terms of atmosphere and service was truly outstanding:
Atmosphere: I would rate the atmosphere a perfect 10/10. The beautiful paintings and the presence of live music created a truly lovely setting.
Staff: The people working there were super nice and accommodating.
Service: The service was also a perfect 10/10—super nice and kind.
The Food: Needs Improvement
When charging the prices you do, the expectation is for the food to be great. Unfortunately, I encountered a few specific issues:
My steak was burnt.
The chicken was dry.
The corn tortillas were notably poor
Mojitos were okay are they worth 15 dollars I don’t know.
Conclusion
While the ambiance and hospitality were top-tier, the quality of the main dishes did not meet the standard expected for the price point.
I am willing to give your restaurant a second chance in the future, but as for now, this is my honest review.

The vibe here is solid. The service was good. The Mexican pizza was not the best. We waited for a while then were told that our pizza had a hole in it coming out of the oven. When we finally got our order it was so long I got it to go. But before leaving we tried a slice. The crust was sooo thin it was falling apart. The flavor was alright but couldn’t enjoy it because I couldn’t hold it.

Stephanie was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down at the bar, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. Her energy was fun and positive, and she clearly knows her craft. The margaritas were perfectly balanced and some of the best we’ve had. She gave great recommendations, stayed attentive even when it got busy, and kept everything running smoothly with a smile. Stephanie truly elevated our experience — we’ll definitely be coming back and sitting at her bar again!

I made reservations on Valentine’s Day to celebrate a loved one’s birthday. Once I walked in they were so accommodating & constantly asking if we needed anything – very attentive. Kristina was our server. AMAZING! Very patient, great personality, chimed in with everyone instead of just serving & leaving- which we love. . Such an amazing person! I will personally come back any time of the day! Thank you for everything!

Poor quality. Our food was extremely cold. The black beans tasted like they were bad. I expected something diferent but the cilantro rice only had a tiny piece of cilantro on top of it. That was all.
