Two “eggwichs” and a coffee $37? What’s worse is they’re poured eggs like a holiday in, no taste. Ordered both with bacon and one came with sausage… for that price they should be cracking fresh eggs and maybe even offer bagels as an option?

Wonderful place to grab breakfast or lunch right on water. Friendly staff. Simple menu. Great to eat outside on-site, grab something to-go for beach or coffee/snack before taking ferry back home. Commercial strip has great convenient shops next to each other. Bathing suit/beachwear shop, grocery store, floral shop, wine/liquor store. Everything you need all on beautiful convenient strip. Also a hair salon/barber shop and hotel.

There aren’t many places to relatively quickly grab food in Fire Island, so it’s pretty hard to avoid Canteen. The food is hit or miss yet expensive for what you get. I did however find the burger to be good. The breakfast menu is limited yet the breakfast burrito was shockingly bland. Food aside, it’s convenient and centrally located. Perfect for a bite after day drinking by the pool or the beach.

Horribly overpriced food. Some of it is just awful. Rude staff. Slow-moving staff as well. The absolute worst. Wish they would have a good eating place in the Pines. For breakfast they recommend going to the pantry in the supermarket and getting a breakfast sandwich. Avoid this place if you can

Girl at the counter was rude and what made it worse is she thought it was cute. It wasn’t. We were looking for a simple place to have lunch. They basically tried to talk us out of ordering and kept reminding us it would take a long time like they wanted to talk us out of giving them business. The cook complained the whole time, loudly. She was alone, so I understand, but no one was in a hurry and you certainly don’t treat customers that way. Bye.

I wish I could give negative 1 star..i was over charged on my credit card for 60$ when my purchase was 20 can someone contact me about my refund!!! I’ve been calling and I left a complaint multiple times on the better business bureau!!! Smh

Food was not good at all, very high prices but maybe its because of location of the island and lack of competition. Breakfast was $13 and pretty bed. Coffee is ok,$4 for large size
