Lively Market Square eatery with sizzling fajitas, seafood, margaritas, mariachis & patio dining.

Great dinner at La Margarita. Mezcal margarita was good. Had the Mexican dinner with fajita, taco, enchilada and tamale. Fajita was the star of the plate. Nice seasoned steak and fresh tortillas. Chili Con Queso didn’t have much flavor so I’d pass on that next time. Service was good and will definitely go back for another meal.

This Mexican restaurant in Farmers Market Square in San Antonio is absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing, and as a vegetarian I really appreciated the number of options available. They’re truly pet-friendly, their michelada was great, and the hospitality was wonderful. They even took a lovely photo of me and my family and gave us a free printout. Highly recommend!

Nice restaurant! I ate some tacos at the bar at about mid-day! Bar tender was super nice and the atmosphere was great! I had puffy tacos and they were very good! If you’re in the area stop by! ❤️

The food was just amazing. I could not get enough and couldn’t stop myself; their portions were pretty big but still disappeared before my eyes. The atmosphere and service was friendly and vibrant, and the area itself is bustling with life and just amazing in general.

Staff was great and welcoming, chatty and fun.
We sat at the bar & I had the watermelon rita, hubbs had the pomegranate rita, we tried both frozen and on the rocks… rocks was alcohol strong.
Ordered off the lunch menu and both of us got the mixed fajita plate, flour tortillas and queso flameado.
My only complaint is the fajita may need more fajita seasoning.
Rice/beans/tortillas were all flavorful!!
Great art and decorations, love the location

We ordered fajita plates and puffy tacos plate. Reasonable price for a restaurant in the heart of tourist area. Definetely not a “tourist trap”. Come and try it but it could be so hard to find parking and seat during festivals.

Parking near the restaurant cost $4.00 for an hour parking. Friday evening dinner, was kind of slow. Walked in, asked for a patio table, and was seated with no problem. There were a few people at the bar, and a few seated at the inside tables. Hostess was police, and the waitress provided excellent service. Did not have to ask for refills. Food was hot and tasteful.

Service: good, atmosphere: festive and very crowded, perhaps it’s a tourist trap.
Not a connoisseur of Mexican food. We had a party of six, steak was over cooked and chewy, rice was good, everything else was pretty much the same, nothing special.
Do not!!! Do not!!! get the Cabrito, the worst I ever had.

The very friendly waitress brought us chips twice while we waited for our food. We ordered melted cheese while we waited for the food, and it arrived along with the main course. I ordered a Virgin mango margarita, but it tasted like it was spoiled or had been made a long time ago, like it was rancid. The food was just okay; the pork carnitas michoacan had little flavor. The beef costilla plate tasted better. It was an average experience for a first and only visit. I was hoping to be impressed, but that didn’t happen.

Nestled in old downtown San Antonio. I have been coming to this restaurant for the last 30 to 40 years. Never fails, customer service is great as well as the food. I like that they have daily specials available.
