Where to begin? I have a lot of feelings about this place! Did I have fun? Yes. Was it odd? Yes. First time I’ve been to a bar that shot a cannon; it was without warning and LOUD but I enjoyed it. We went to the grand opening. I don’t think they have food except for bagged chips but there was a string of crockpots (like you get at church event) and it was free. I really enjoyed it but I don’t think it’s a regular thing. The customers are VERY local and friendly; most wearing an I love America or veteran shirt and/or hat. I’d say 80% of the people are in their 50’s and 60’s. They had a free pool table, fire pit, and music. Electric Circus was playing and they are very good. They don’t have drafts, only bottles and cans. Mixed drinks are limited with no menu. I would probably go back again but only if there is a band playing. Also, it’s a club so you have to pay a $5 annual membership fee. They then give you a handwritten card to keep on you to prove membership and then an index card for you to take to the bar for your tab/bill. Staff was very friendly as well. We thought it might be a biker bar but it wasn’t. It’s more like a cool upbeat VFW.

No food to speak of. It is a typical local dive bar. If you like that, you’ll love it. It’s not my type of place. I paid $6 for a house G&T, and she didn’t even have a fresh lime – only bottled juice. You should at least have fresh lemons and limes for drinks if you’re a bar. The clientele was very colorful and full of bravado and war-stories. You will feel right at home if you are a veteran.
She needs to hire some more help. It was just her on a Saturday night, and she was running all over the place, grabbing drinks, changing toilet paper rolls, and processing memberships. I forgot to mention that you have to pay $5 to join the club, but it’s for a while.
There was a good band, though.

This “club” requires a membership fee of $5 and customers disclosing more information than was necessary for an Obama era loan. There is nothing on draft but still a decent selection of beers. The bar that night was staffed by just one lady, presumably the proprietor. There was no food available, not even chips or finger food. The patrons consist of a large number of retired military and blue-collar folks who are regulars. They are friendly and very welcoming to new-comers. We saw a post on Facebook for a band. The duo was not bad for this neck of the woods. The pool table is open to all challengers and doesn’t require any quarters. Dogs are not welcome. Children, or anyone under 60–for that matter, simply don’t go there. For membership and two drinks, we spent about $15 per person.

Nothing to brag about. Several local Vets hang here. Owner is nice. However, I wasn’t thrilled about the large dogs being in patrons area. Shedded hair all over outside dining area. One dog growled at me a few times. Owner did keep eyes on dogs. This place has huge potential. I’m sure it’s overwhelming at times for her. Locals hanging out were nice. Must have membership to drink/eat here or you’ll have to leave.

Had a great time! Played some pool and had some ice cold beers. Donna is an awesome bartender and host, made us feel welcome. $5 membership fee totally worth it, and we will be back!

The world needs more places like this. Donna is the most thoughtful and attentive business owner I’ve encountered in a long time. Her attention to detail and ability to make everyone feel welcome is a very unique combination. The music she brings in is amazing, and I highly recommend the Cannon Club to anyone.
